Yes, he's a complete natural. Some KZbin vloggers come across rather stilted, but Gareth just talks naturally to us like a mate. The actual food is almost secondary. His road trips are very entertaining and the added bonus of the food at the end is great.

Congratulations on reaching the subs! Your choice of "soft" foods was coincidental as my lunch fit into that category. I had a sachet of risotto rice from Aldi. They come in different flavours and I had mushroom today. The idea is to combine the contents with water and stir regularly on the hob. I used half water and half milk. I also wanted to "pimp it up" a little. I had some button mushrooms I had to use. Wiped, cut into regular sizes, oiled, herbed and cooked in the air fryer for 10 minutes shaking half way through. I added these to the bubbling risotto on the hob, plus some grated Lancashire cheese that was starting to smell a little ripe. Not overly exciting, but tasty enough with some seasoning. And soft!

If you like tuna pasta bake, have you tried tuna pasta salad?? Get tuna in brine, squeeze out fluids, replace those with pickled onion vinigar. Then add that to cold cooked pasta like fusilli. Add sweetcorn, chopped bell peppers and salad creme or mayo to taste. You could serve it on a bed of green leaf salad with some cherry tomatoes..

Anecdotal Top Tip....Morrisons have recently acquired several small convenience stores....have a pop in ....I got some Peppers(3) reduced to a pound, I've had them in the fridge for a week, and they're still firm, whereas the ones I buy from Lidl are mush within 2 days...grab some Morrisons best Cumberland sausages, 2 packs for a fiver while yer there....all the best Gareth, you loon....

A packet penne pasta from Lidl's 48p or spaghetti 28p pasta sauce £1.49p grated 50% less fat Cheese £2.99p cooking bacon £1.79p total £6.75 You can make the pasta in bulk usually about six or seven tubs which you can freeze. Far cheaper in the long run and you will have bacon left over to make a crustless quiche.

I put onions in macaroni cheese. I cook them first until soft and then add them in. I also often put bacon into it too, cook that first as well. It makes the dish a bit more interesting. BTW. You look like you're healing well, you don't look like you've got a broken jaw! 😮 keep well.
