The team has already remade the Point Lookout DLC, and Erk is making fantastic progress on the expanded sections of the The Pitt DLC content. Everyone else is hard at work building every part of the Capitol Wasteland we can with the art assets we have finished. The loss of Turkey and Grill to DoubleEleven only slowed the project briefly. Multiple passionate modders, myself included, have joined since they left and are dedicated to recreating and enhancing the game we love.

Glad to hear, last I heard the Capital Wasteland project good shutdown so it's nice to here it's still going, both fallout 3 and NV were important parts of my teen life so having them in FO4's newer engine would be amazing Just one question will FO4 Capital Wasteland have settlements? I haven't really looked at the specifics of what's going to be in it when's it's finished.

I think if we ever did they would end up needing to be brand new locations as to not disrupt the rest of the game. We are however planning on trying to use the settlement system so you can customize the interiors of the Tenpenny Suite, and Megaton House.

Fallout 3 was my favorite fallout game. I know most people prefer new Vegas but I just didn't enjoy it as much. Maybe it was the desert location or the empty open world idk. I of course preferred new Vegas's and fallout 4's weapon system. So fallout 3 remade in fallout 4 would be perfect!

I think this fallout 3 mod can get around the dialogue issue if they provide players who have decent idea about modding the name of all the dialogue files so you can just literally go into your data folder and extract the fallout 3 dialogue and paste it into the fallout 4 folders. That way we can fix the mod ourselves so we can have the original voice acting. All you have to do is change some files around, not something people who have no patience or modding backgrounds could do, but I would personally do it just to get the original feel. Without Liam Neeson I can't see myself playing this mod.

Yeah the timestamps do make this theory less credible but considering the roadmap puts the Starfield release in 2021 its not exactly accurate. Funny you say that, once you remove the colour tint from Fo3 tha game has a lot of colour that pops with some saturation mods, and looks similar to a washed out version of Fallout 4. I agree the colour saturaiton in Fallout 4 was too much, those cars would not still have such a good matte finish after 200 years of rain, radioactive fallout, snow, constant harsh sun and who knows what else. But the popping colour is also very 1950s-esque.

One silly thing I'd like to touch on; In regards to that billboard and Bethesda/The Show using it "without" permission.. It's actually written in the 'fine" print, under the Fair Use Agreement section, anyone using the Creation Kit acknowledges that Bethesda reserves the right to use anything added to or created with the CK. They can also have it removed. That's not verbatim.. obviously, but it's basically how it's stated. If you want to use Beth's Engine, you may do so freely.. Just don't go thinking "YOU" own it. The way I’ve been playing fallout 3 on my ps4 is how through PlayStation plus a couple months ago you could’ve streamed fallout 3 and nv but they removed it. But if you still have it you can still stream and play it.

As long as it takes to remake the DLC's It will be 10 freakinh years for the Fallout 3 remake. Not to mention due to them making these FO4 mods who will have the allotted space to download these? We only have so much space Bethesda gave us for FO4 mod downloads. So it will be interesting to see how this works as a FO4 "mod". I have never played any Fallout games before Fallout 3 and I am very much looking forward to the Fallout 1and 2 remake. Hopefully those work right and I can actually download them. Anyone wanting to download these will probably have to clear most mods out of their load order just to have space for these downloads.

So, are these remake mods working with the "next-gen update", or do they need the downgraded/GOG version of FO4? If the latter, I might want to try to figure out how to get them working as separate MO2 profiles alongside Fallout London. If the former, I might need to figure out how to make MO2 treat my Steam install of the game as a separate instance from my GOG instance, if it can handle that at all.

Steam games can be run out of any folder, I keep a copy of FoNV spare on an SSD that I use MO2 on and can still run base Fallout NV on steam.

Fallout 1 and two is a good idea but it’s going to be difficult to get the maps to work properly because of the gargantuan size of the maps the unique events that trigger while in transit from place to place and so on.
