@@lingyjennifer8399 Nor should we fear anyone. FAITH is the belief that GOD is in absolute and total control at all times and in all places. "Understand totally by understanding totality," sayeth the LORD. For, "I am He and there is no god with me. I kill and I make alive, I wound and I heal, and none can be delivered from my hand." (Deut. 32:39) "I AM THAT I AM" means I AM THAT WHICH IS, AND THERE SIMPLY ISN'T ANYTHING ELSE. But there certainly APPEARS to us in this world that there is "something else," which is why one must find GOOD REASON to believe that there is NOT. (Blind faith won't do it, "for if the blind lead the blind both will fall into the ditch.") It should be noted that Bishop Budde is not an exception. The entire Episcopal Church which Bishop Budde represents, is full of people who believe and act the way the Bishop does. The Episcopal Church is entirely open and welcoming to every person at every level, as clergy, administration, parishoners, members visitors, simply persons who desire to participate in a service, sacrament, or a related program. She even began that part of her message by recognizing that DJT spoke of how he had felt God's hands moving to protect him so that he could lead America.... She called for him to LISTEN to the Lord when leading the country... Lead with mercy. If mercy is a "nasty message" to someone, then they must think that the Bible and Jesus are ALSO "nasty messages". Those around DJY calling for her to apologize and suggested that she be run out of the country. I kind of get the feeling that, before she spoke, before her message was presented, that they ALREADY had a problem with her.... with HER. I'm sure that most of them don't believe ANY woman should lead ANYTHING, much less a CHURCH SERVICE.

I enjoyed the livestream today, Rev. Ed, and I also appreciated Bishop Budde's sermon very much. I certainly did not perceive her as overtly "chastising" the President (well, she did sort of rebuke him kindly) but simply doing what good clerics - known or otherwise - have done throughout the centuries: seeking mercy for the downtrodden from kings and lords, emperors and princes and now from a shameless, vicious, self-centered, morally corrupt and unrepentant US president. She incidentally reminded us all - likely 47 and his family, too - that his "profession of faith" is insincere at best and merely self-serving. Rev. Benjamin Cremer posted: "If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ."

I am so grateful for the kind, gentle people like her, and like you, who keep the light burning with truth and love. I’m reminded so much of a verse from “A Mighty Fortress-“ Though hordes of demons fill the land, all threatening to devour us; We tremble not, unmoved we stand; they cannot overpower us. Tho’ he may take our house, goods, honor, child or spouse; tho’ life be wrenched away he cannot win the day! God’s kingdom is forever! ❤️ from 🇺🇸🫶🏻🙏🏻

Anyone who perceives any degree of maliciousness in Bishop Budde's appeal to the "President" to show mercy to those who are afraid, and who justly feel compromised through their well-founded fears, then to criticize her as being anything other than Christ-like, are allowing their own guilt to speak for them. Bishop Budde spoke to power with Peace as only she could, for hers is a heart steeped in Compassion and Humility, the likes of which Donald Trump and his family will never understand. May God bless Bishop Budde for the blessing she is to this world. If only more people were like her!

I noticed the VPs wife. She was the only one who took the message to heart. The rest had frozen expressions, which is sad. The Bishop is my hero. She has fans. The Pope also echoed her message. This was no attack, It was a reminder of Jesus' intent. There was no hate from her. Many undocumented were not criminals, in fact undocumented immigrants are 60% less likely to commit a crime. Those that called her a heretic, they think the Sermon On the Mount must be a woke Leftist message! Its even worse here in Texas.
