A Bit About Infinity Battlescape

Hello there! Just a video talking a bit about another game I like! This ones and early access title that's still got some work to do but is stable and fun nonetheless! Check it out!

This one took a while to make, I didn't have as much footage laying around as I did for Deeprock so it was interesting playing not just to play but also to record interesting shots to use. I think I nailed down the audio better in this one but setting text in Davinci is still a struggle for me, the next thing to work on learning I think. I will continue making these little "A Bit About..." videos about games I like! My goal is to keep em around 5 minutes and drop one a month at least. Just bought this yesterday. Challenging and fun even just against bots, and when you play with people it gets pretty unpredictable, in a fun way. Got "Holdo'd" in my first actual PVP engagement, which surprised both of us. lmao Carriers were also recently updated to allow for a simplified RTS-style engagement with automated fighters, so it's really improved. Game's not dead!

I dont have the game yet, but it looks awesome. I defeniteley want to get it soon. I have always looked for a game like this! When they start marketing the game, its really going to be a ton of fun.

Another quick note on Destroyers. It isn't so cut and dry with Destroyers vs Cruisers, because of the Destroyer's "mines" Which really act more like super torpedoes but I digress If a Cruiser allows a Destroyer to get too close, it can lay down some serious hurt surprisingly quickly That said, if the Cruiser is supported by other Destroyers, or even human piloted interceptors, this strategy is basically useless, as shooting down the mines is incredibly easy

Kinda weird that Corvettes are "medium support craft slow for their size". This is the opposite of what Corvettes are supposed to be, which is the fastest ships of the line. They are meant to out maneuver, or deliver messages, personnel, or important cargo QUICKLY.

I really hope they add at least one different faction with unique ships and weapons

​@@greywaterinc7940 The Astralis Collective was a stretch goal during the Kickstarter. Inovae only got the minimum, though, so they'll probably have to wait for after 1.0. They'd be the SFC companies' opposite, aestheticly. Very curvy and with porcelain-colored hulls.

I remember when this game was just about flying around a star system with newtonian physics with occasionaly jousting combat. Now it seems like it's Planetside 2 with spaceships. And I'm so into that! They're still ways off from being competitive with other space games though...

i highly disagree. it scrathes the ps2 and elite dangerous itches while making it win lose friendly and tons of fun. the community is well educated the devs talk to us every day directly and actively communicate about design intent vs execution/expectations. i have yet to see that level of commitment on most games let alone one that survives and thrives as infinity battlescape currently does

The capital ship did remind me of this game, then I went to see if I could go try that and they JUST closed the game down this month, I waited too long to try it it seems.

I'm pretty sure the reason for the low player count is that the devs have decided not to advertise the game or anything like that until they believe the game is ready.

I believe that is correct, there's another game I know of following the same strategy called "Angels Fall First", hopefully it works out for both cause they're already quite fun

It's easy to see why the player count is low - the price point is far too high. $50 AUD is way too much for a game that should be $25 - $30 which is what most EA games are priced at nowadays.

I thought the same. I am really interested in this game but it is not a type of game I risk paying so much for. I bet there would be way more players with lower or free price and a cosmetic store.

Shame the server is dead, 1-8 players....for 3 years now on the steam chart. The dev needs to just make it F2P at this point or sell it for 10 bucks. Im not paying 30 bucks for a dead MMO with no one in it.
