Man that transition between Zelda's lullaby and Dr. Wily's Castle was amazing. In my head, it's like a cutscene from a story mode in the new smash; it would be in an old crumbling castle. The camera would cut to inside one of the castle spires where Zelda would be praying to the 3 goddesses to keep Link safe, and all the while, evil forces would be invading the castle trying to capture Zelda. Right when they are at her door and she seems to loose all chance of escape, BOOM! Mega Man shows up in a ray of blue light and starts to charge up his arm cannon and blasts the door away, sending all of the monsters flying back, and maybe he would take 2 others out with his metal blade weapons and then turn to Zelda. They would look at eachother, nod, and start charging up their weapons (Zelda would start casting some magic spell while Rock would pull out some weapon from Mega Man 2) which would lead to a screen where you could pick etheir of the 2 and proceed into a level where you fight your way out of the castle.

This music just makes me so happy. I'm not even that old, I caught the very tail end of the 90's but started off on Sega with just a bit on NES/SNES. These songs are all still extremely memorable and locked into my memory. Particularly songs from the N64 era. Oh Nintendo, you'll always be the Michael Jackson of video games.
