Honestly, I can see why Jay doesn't believe Kokichi. He's been lying this whole game, so him producing some potentially circumstantial evidence at best doesn't mean that he's suddenly the Mastermind. The cast also always seem to believe Kokichi when he says he's done something even though he's proven several times that he lies for fun or to save their lives. Yet only Shuichi doubts him and thinks he's lying again. For about 10 seconds, but still. I guess this cast doesn't believe in the boy who cried wolf story. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me the entire killing game, my IQ has plummeted faster than Kirumi.

My opinion Okay but let's think about this kokichi knew many things before the others, his mental health was awful during the whole killing game and with the others always ganging up on him made it worse. Since he always put on a mask and pretends to be something he's not. For me I feel like kokichi has really bad trust issues maybe something happened in the past. And yes kokichi did a lot of bad things but he did them for a reason though. The thing that gets me mad is kokichi didn't have anyone to help him during the killing game with his mental state. Which I don't blame the others for not helping him but hitting him physically is not okay cuz he never actually hit them physically unless it was self-defense. Even after they figure out the truth about why kokichi did things in the 5th trial they still talk crap about kokichi. Honestly kokichi is one of the most misunderstood Danganronpa character and he deserved better.

About the trust issues I forgot to mention if kokichi actually does have trust issues. Which he most likely did have, Then the killing game made it way worse and that's why he lied a lot but there's definitely more to why he lies. I didn't cry at all when the video is playing multiple times in the trial. First reason is because I was so dang confident that nobody died and it was a fake blood or something (I was hoping too much). Second reason is because I didn't know Kokichi that well. But in ch 6, I finally understand why Kokichi did what he did and I cried everytime I saw a hydraulic press.
