Mice are capable of biting the same electric cable en masse, even while surrounded by the corpses of their kin It happened in a train station: one day the lights went out. When the technicians intervened, they found a room full of dead rats surrounding a recently cut cable: one by one, they bit it, they gor electrocuted, and still went on, until the cable was broken

Found a piece of pepperoni that fell out of a package like a week later with a bunch of bite marks on it. I stuck a glue trap underneath the meat and repositioned it back to the same spot. Within a couple hours it caught 5 mice. Not certain if they all tried to hit it at once or not.

Thank you so much for making this video! A mouse got into my house last night and ran behind the stove. Didn’t have any peanut oil so I mixed a teaspoon of chocolate almond butter into some corn oil. Put the bowl next to the stove with some books stacked like little stairs next to it. Found the mouse sitting in the bowl when I came downstairs this morning!! 😎

@michaelorlando4761
@michaelorlando4761 Жыл бұрын
Compassionate, but highly unsanitary. Catching mice that have been running around in the wild, or in a barnyard and keeping them is not the same as buying them from a pet store. Wild mice carry some nasty pathogens, some of which are fatal and uncurable to humans. They are not suitable as pets and should be dispatched.

I had a mice problem in my chickens coop. They would eat the feed at night and poop all in it. Nasty little boogers. I set out regular Victor traps and only caught one. I saw this video and thought I would give it a try. I used a very large stainless steel bowl and put some vegetable oil with about 1 tsp of peanut butter mixed in. The next morning I go check and I had 27 mice trapped in the bowl! They were climbing all over each other trying to get out and my chickens were all standing around in a circle watching. Funniest thing to see! Thanks for posting 👍

I remember this working in a dog kennel in South Carolina, we always washed and changed their water bowls twice per day every morning there would be several mice in the deeper dishes especially the type that can’t be easily picked up by creatures without opposing thumbs. We had a major infestation because folks donated food but the owner only allowed us to feed the dogs a specific type of food. Thanks for the videos, cheers!

I made an oil trap a few decades ago, it reliably caught any mice in my shop and worked for a long time, it just needed an occasional oil change every month or so, I checked it daily and was almost always surprised by how many it caught. I put a small pillar in the middle of the bowl with peanut butter on the tip, it stuck about 6 inches above the oil and couldn't be reached by the mice since by that point they were soaked in vegetable oil so it didn't need replenishing, just an occasional change once it dried out, I usually changed it with the oil. I suspect that a very effective dead trap could be made using oil as well, with a deeper bowl or bucket, they wouldn't be able to swim in it since they are more dense than the oil and it's so thick. Maybe a bucket with a lid with a funnel inside (to take the place of the bowl) that's just big enough for a mouse to pass through sideways, so it sinks to the bottom. But when it bloats up and starts floating it rises to the top around the funnel, so there's less chance of them floating to the top. Fire and forget missile kind of thing lol, just dump the entire contents of the bucket in a fire every 6 months and refill the oil.

Hahaha, I get a lot of nostalgia from this channel. Which is ironic in a 3 year old video _(I think?)_ My grandfather hated peanut butter oil in traps. I'm not sure of all the details but he always said it was some kind of dangerous fire risk. To this day I wish I had asked more, I'm not sure if it's because he was ... Well kinda crazy and made things like generators out of lawn mowers... Or if it was because we live in Australia and basically everything is a fire risk in the summer, Even swimming pools! _(Well the pump system,...)_
