Hell he might be the reason the rule came to exist that nopon shouldn't interfere in the first place. Riku was right there in Origin. Z might've worked out that nopon had something to do with N having the sword of origin. A blade that strong and dangerous made by the nopon makes them as a species dangerous. Z probably has N as a threat to end their species if they try to go against them, threatened that they better help ensure soldiers will blindly keep maintaining the endless now. That's why they're spread out in the main game. Not only to spread secret intel between each other but just in case moebius sends anyone, they're secluded; the chances they don't get them all is higher.

You haven't realized - Manana knows nothing of the worlds before Aionios, nor of the true nature of the world of Aionios. She isn't an immortal; she's not an avatar of Origin. She was born inside Aionios, and so... she's not coming back. She only has a chance of being reborn down the line, likely long after Riku has passed away. Even if they were both to remember everything, every moment of their journey together, they'll... they'll never get to see each other again. Riku's one last burden is that, even if he does remember Aionios once time moves again, it'll only ensure that he knows what it is he's lost. And Manana... if she ever remembers Aionios, should she even be born again, she will likely never again see most any of the people she traveled with, and fought alongside. She'll be all alone with her memories, accompanied only by a select few nopon she'll likely never even meet. Even the people of the city are descended primarily from those who escaped the cycle, and so their genealogy will have passed them by the time the last Aionian nopon, who were primarily spared from the systems of Aionios, is reborn in the new world. I really hope I'm wrong, though - that there's something I'm missing. It's just so... unfair. The nopon of Aionios don't deserve this!

There are a quite a few ways of circumventing this. First, there is the question of people who end up not having the same spouses they had in Aionios, or just never have kids, which, unless it means that the souls just never get born, which I highly doubt, would mean that they would likely end up in a similar body, which gives her the chance to be born sooner, especially because the population of new souls is still probably small compared to the population growth in the new world, given their tiny starting landmasses compared to what they have now. That leads to the second possibility, some of the Aionios natives could just end up spawning with their bodies, because there is so much more space. As Origin is partially controlled by the will of the people within it, Manana’s and Riku’s desire to see each other again might influence how that happens. Third, with the whole Nopon maximum lifespan seeming to be optional, Riku has patience in spades, he probably would be willing to wait another millennium just to see her again. Fourth, insert here next game shenanigans that we haven’t learned about yet. Fifth, I don’t know if the Nopon Arcsage is officially non-cannon, but him pulling something just because, or Riku becoming the next Arcsage would work, this is mostly a meme, but having Riku end up an apprentice of the Arcsage, using his smithing/gemcrafting as rewards for future heroes in order to get the chance to meet Manana sounds like a great callback in future games.

Another possibility: It wouldn't be that hard to sell the idea that while rebooting Origin, a secondary process was running to gather those originally born in Aionios so they could be preserved through the intersection and brought to the later properly-reunified Earth. Basically what Alpha tried to do, but in a way that _doesn't_ screw over everyone else out of spite and impatience.

My thought with all of the Aionios-born people is that since Aionios is essentially a computer simulation, anyone born into it is “generated randomly” and therefore becomes another bit of data, so when Origin stops working, the data of those people is likely either spit out into their respective worlds (Supported by people seemingly being born with Irises so they are assigned to one of the worlds) or spit out when the worlds recombine (supported by the fact that we don’t know for sure if people are born with irises so they might not have a world). Worst case scenario is that their data would be stuck in Origin, but Tora, Shulk, and Riku can probably figure out how to get it out, maybe even using mimeosomes or smth similar

My current running theory on Riku's hair: As a young nopon growing up in Frontier Village interested in technology, he was one day investigating the Pollen Orb machine, accidentally got his real hair caught in it, which left him with a pollen orb stuck in his hair, which promptly lead to teasing and bullying by the other nopon. His mommapon (whoever that is) opted to fix the problem as best she could, by making a fur hat to cover the orb, which then turned the bullypons into jealouspons. Conveniently, the hat is more compact than his hair originally was, making it far easier for him to thoroughly investigate and tinker with more machines.

In Future Redeemed, Riku mentioned that both Melia and Nia worked on the Ouroboros Stone in the Ouroboros power side quest, which would mean that they meet before Melia was captured. Edit: Also think that Noah had given Melia up to Moebius in the incarnation that he was labeled a traitor, probably for the promise that he and Mio could live a full peaceful together, which would give birth to Gondor. Another thing, I think why there are 2 lucky sevens is because originally, it was a combined sword that was divided into 2 parts, similar to the all the swords born from the female aspect of any trinity.

You know, it never crossed my mind until this video reminded me that Linka and Panacea wouldn't age, but we don't actually know what happened to them as the statues only describe Shulk & Rex. It's probably safest to assume they died for the cause in battles with Mobius, or perhaps they pulled a Shulk & Rex and retired to Origin as Avatars once they felt comfortable to pass on the dream yet again? Being house founders they would have had offspring at some point, you'd assume. I wish I hadn't thought of this. We'll never know for certain.

It's my understanding that the spirit of "the six" always re-manifests in some way (hence their voices being the same in all the Noah and Mio flashbacks where we hear them). I believe M said something like "You ALL are my repentance" - which I interpreted as a more traditional application of reincarnation. As in the souls are the same, but the bodies are different (for the non-Noah and Mio Ouroboros members). This is just how I choose to read into this - I'd love to hear other thoughts.

I also think this may be the first life all 6 of them are together such as if that was another Taion. Eunie, Sena and Lanz may not have been with that group in particular. Something to that effect being almost kind of the "god luck" type situation for our Noah and Mio.

Need a theory on why nopon were allowed freedom in aionios under Z. Wtf is up with that? I think the archsage is being behind the zohar and he's been pulling strings since the early xeno games.

At some point, Nopon organized a deal with Moebius to stay out of each other's way. It should be noted that nopon are not born via Cradles and exist in a very similar manner to City folk where they have normal lifespans for their species. However how they exist within Aionios is unexplained (although the only time a birth place has ever been mentioned by Nopon has been Mira. Every other game only shows major settlements and not explicit origins). Why Z made the deal is unclear, it could've been done to prevent the deeper secrets of Moebius and Aionios from becoming public knowledge. The whole war hinges on the idea that nothing is going on behind the scenes. But once people start getting suspicious, it would be incredibly easy to overthrow a good chunk of Moebius. Nopon could easily spread rumors and suggest that things aren't as they seem as they casually peddle their wares.

So Z's powers are human specific. He's ties to the collective unconscious only encompasses the humans stored within Origin and as such he can't actually manipulate nopon by being a physical manifestation of their fears, desires ect. This is actually really funny because if a nopon ouroboros were to exist, Z couldn't seal it. To Z nopon are an existence near akin to Alpha not necessarily being effective against him but being immune to his most potent forms of attack. This makes Nopon potentially the biggest threat to Moebius and if antagonized a a sufficiently power nopon,which would need to be a really strong nopon or group of nopon to be fair, could instigate another Alpha incident. It is by sheer luck that nopon are the fun loving, go with the flow species that they are, allowing Z and Moebius to operate without a competing nopon coagulation of wills forming in origin ruining everything.

you actually brought up something in regards to M i'd been wondering for a while now. I think there's a good chance M did indeed know of the events of future redeemed. when mio is showing noah N's memories, these explicitly came from M, and when we see mio and M talking those memories are on screens surrounding them to represent this. but not only is it all from noah's perspective, there's things she wouldn't have been there for like him saying goodbye to his son. we can easily assume that M looked at his mind at some point over the years, especially because of how upset she was at his choices im sure she would've sought to understand what was going through his mind. not to mention that as an ally of the city for presumably a while, perhaps even soon after her being reborn as moebius and trying to cope with the morality of her new existence, there definitely would've been lots of opportunities for her to at least know of alpha's existence the main issue here is asking why the main party/mio wouldn't also know of the events of future redeemed in this case, and this has two explanations. the first is obviously the meta one that the devs arent just going to spoil future redeemed and while i imagine it probably had a finalized story around this time it was still in development, but given that M is already dropping a lot on mio, i imagine that going "also there was this guy who tried to destroy the world but that's only slightly relevant to what we're talking about the situation you're in" was considered to be a bit much. when it comes to N, it's important to keep in mind that while future redeemed added context to his motives in destroying the city, it doesnt necessarily contradict anything that's shown in the base game. the flashbacks show N agreeing to Z's request to destroy the city for M's sake, but we now know WHY Z wanted the city destroyed beyond just "they oppose me". N was still there with the intent to kill City folk to stop them from being Alpha's power source. If M knowing the Alpha context is true, I suspect the reason she omitted it (aside from not wanting to overwhelm mio) is because it ultimately didn't change much about her perspective and it doesn't change much about N and M's current relationship where he's become incredibly possessive over her. she might've also seen it as more indicative of Z's motives then N's as N still initially agreed on behalf of mio, seemingly before he was told about Alpha. the only hole in this theory i can think of is that they talk about mio having M's memories but it's not exactly specified if mio knows these things because M shared them with her or because of the body she's inhabiting. M clearly witnesses the memories of the person she inhabits, that's the entire basis of this theory, but since M was the one initiating the body swap with her and mio i dont think its implausible that she only remembered what M allowed her to see. i also think that M omitted N killing Ghondor because she understood it wasnt an active action N took and didn't necessarily want the party to judge him for it. considering she showed up right after ghondor's death as shown in future redeemed there's a good chance she saw the body, but mio doesnt seem to know anything about ghondor's death, positive or negative. a lot of this theory comes from the fact that i think N keeping M in the dark doesnt hold up when you consider she can view his memories and has very good reason to want to do so, being very upset with his actions, and if she hasn't viewed his memories then chapter 5 makes a lot less sense or you have to argue that she was making up memories she wasnt there for, which is not how the game frames it.

Bare in mind that M really only had two years and however long FR was to find put about Alpha. M only reincarnated as the City was destroyed. She was never aware of N killing Ghondor (at least initially, perhaps she was able to discover it at some point given she can scrape people's brains. But the game doesn't indicate she knew Ghondor was killed by N). Not trying to be morbid here, but M was more than likely trying to kill herself during the two year period post City destruction. With her only stopping once Nia gave her the Cloudkeep Key. Everything we know seems to point to N keeping things pretty secretive, plus Alpha was still very subtle with his actions and few knew Moebius was actually locked down. So while M shouldve probably known about some parts of FR, she simply wouldn't have known ALL the events of FR unless she looked into N's head. Which is a scenario that is never really confirmed or denied.

I wonder, what Riku‘s exact line in japanese is, where he speaks about his dadapon in FR, the reason I wonder this, is because in german he says specifically how long telling the story would take in hours, (matching roughly the length of a typical XC1 playthrough), I wonder, if this is something added in the German Localization or if it was left out from the English localisation.

We need more deep dives into language differences anyhow. The issue is setting everything up. I am on the side working to copy over the texts for a still private german Wiki project, which takes forever as-is. But like, next problem is, who is going to translate all that? I am going to do english to german, so I can also do german to english when everything's done eventually, but getting translators for the other languages is going to be a struggle. With the obvious issue that our most important and source language, japanese, is notoriously hard to translate to western languages because of how diffrently they work from start to finish.

some thoughts i have while watching -rex mentions in future redeemed he wish he met dunban so this implys either dunban wasnt an avatar (unlikely), died before origin (possible), or dunban died in origin before 1s cast met up with 2s so this could support riku never meeting the other 6 hammerpon -nopon were said to be neutral in origin by X so its possible riku was given lucky seven because he would be the safest hands (wings) to hold onto the sword because of his species neutral status loved the video and i wish i could have watched it live but it started during D&D so i had to wait a day but id love to join live in the future

The Riki's Tenderness use near the end actually got me emotional. The song holds a special place in my heart. First time I beat Xenoblade, I was pulling an all nighter for it, it was summer vacation and I was just so excited to finish it. It was like 3 or 4 in the morning, and when I got into the NG+ menu, I heard that song and just started to cry. It was such a sweet, brilliant song to cap off one of my favorite games of all time, and the start of my love of a phenomenal series. Thank you, Luxin, for helping recreate that sensation at least in part by using it in the way you did.

About the Monado REX+, what if the only actual Monado replica is the one Melia has? Rex has Blade... copies? of the Aegis Swords in Aionios, so perhaps Shulk's Monado (which also functions as a Blade) is also just a Blade. The reason it looks exactly like the original Monado REX+ could be because Shulk would be intimately familiar with the construction and mechanics behind it while Rex probably only knows how to use the Aegis Swords in a fight.

If I may @Luxin I have a theory on the how they communicated with light Assuming these 2 worlds had there own languages and styles, light might have been the first confirmation on each other existence. Possibly, was the world's collided, there were areas of weird merge that existed in both worlds in tandem. Given the people could not talk with each other since, it would be weird as hell for 2 worlds that grew independently to both speak a common language, light and it's physics, being possibly fundamentally constant in both worlds let the find a way to reverse engineer the language system which in turn, let the communicate and then realise the were screwed. We have something similar in the Voyager space probes
