@@Curious0511 1800-1900 is not the beginning of kashmir. The original inhabitants of kashmir are the kashmiri pandits, my community. There is a history of kashmiri pandits in kashmir which can be traced back to 3000 or even 4000 years. It was around 1200-1300 A.D when the muslims started coming to kashmir and thus the whole scenario started to change. There were killings , conversions and ofcourse, the exodus of kashmiri pandits has been happening since then. The main reason for that is we fucking believe in non-violence which i think should change if we have to survive. Anyways, coming back to the point, we did not have an army or a strong leader at the time of muslim invasion who could have guided us. So it was easy for those fuckers. So what you see today in kashmir are in majority the converted pandits who have still not changed the pandit surnames like bhatt, mattoo etc but call themselves muslims. There are some who have surnames as 'pandit' but are muslims. I have a muslim friend from kashmir whose grandfather's name was krishan maharaj. So you can imagine the degree of conversions that have taken place in kashmir. Then there are some muslims whose forefathers were the invaders and settled in kashmir. There were lots of instances when the genyu (sacred thread) of hundreds of pandits was lit on fire in front of them and even pandits were force fed meat (especially cow meat) to convert them into muslims. There are thousands of things that i can tell but this is enough for now.

A note: Towards the end you mentioned that by the logic of partition Kashmir should've gone to Pakistan. There's however a major flaw to this concept: Kashmir was not part of British India per se, to which the partition was applied. It was an Indian princely state which was semi-independent and was not part of the official partition plan. Moreover, Indian leaders were against the concept of dividing India on the lines of religion and were against partition. On top of it, the predominant political movement in the valley was led by the National conference and was secular in nature. So, we cannot just assume that people of Kashmir automatically wanted to be part of Pakistan in 1947 just cuz majority of them happen to be Muslim. It is just the elections of 1987 and anti-India propaganda fed by Pakistani radio and TV channels over time, combined with gradual building up of genuine grievances of the Kashmiri people against the Indian government which has led to the ongoing insurgency.

@@rohandalvi8045 I don't know much about the conflict, but, based on my limited understanding, i know that there are hardly any people living there, it's a barren land and whole region has a population of not more than 100-500 people, and those people are just nomads who minds their own business, they dont care about India or China, that's why none of them raise their voice. Even Geographically, this region is easily accessible to China, due to relatively flat area between Aksai Chin and rest of the nearby cities/towns of China. In India's case, there are lot of geographical obstacles to reach Aksai Chin from Ladakh. That might be the reason why China was able to capture this region, Another fact is that India didn't even realize that the Chinese had already occupied this land, until 1950s.

Apart from many pronunciation mistakes like Thermo-pee-laye is how it's actually pronounced... There are grave misinterpretations and inaccuracies about the policies and events. Pradhanmantri II in my opinion has the best report on this. In that series Karan Singh clearly mentions that Kashmir had already acceded to India but Nehru refused to accept it until Sheikh Abdullah was made the PM. That was Nehru's demand. He was also the one who proposed the plebiscite while SVP clearly mentioned that the accession is complete under British authorities.

Those who still thinks that Nehru's fault was china but not but if u see the timeline of indipendence u will notice that India got independent in 1947 ,at the time of independence,india was suffering from caste discrimination child marriage and Illetracy. When india ws moving to industrialization, china attacked india but nehru knew that they will attack but nehru was trying to be defensive but at that time india could not produce China's ammunition like artillery,tanks and rpg. We cannot blame nehru,we should blame defence minister Krishna Menon who was in England.

India dint get birth on 1947. India only got Independence from British in 1947.... India was there since Vedic age. India is mentioned in Garud puran also.from Himalaya to Sea, its clearly mentioned. Only pakistan got birth in 1947 and also got independence on same day

very well articulated. Most unbiased video i have come across. All the facts being stated here and this is coming from a kashmiri who grew up there. There is no doubt that Pakistan started it all, but i wouldn't hesitate in saying that India took advantage of what Pakistan did. But this does not mean we should be punished for their wrong doings and kashmir automatically belongs to India. How?. I have always been saying this, at the end its the kashmiri (muslims, pandits, sikhs and all) who have suffered and will always suffer. Kashmir belongs to kashmiri (whether it be POK or IOK). To us both regions are occupied, no matter what pakistani or indians say. They are both so blindly patriotic that they don't see what the people of kashmir have been through all these years. Kashmiri muslims and pandits lived in peace, until 1987 elections were rigged by India and subsequently pakistan started the 1990 militancy. First the Pandits were subjugated to this brutality and now the muslims are suffering. Its high time the people of both these countries rise above the blind patriotism and religious hatred and give the people of kashmir their right. A plebiscite should take place, no matter what. Period. All the regions of J&K (even the parts under China) should be recombined and then demilitarized by all the three countries and let kashmiris decide their fate. Its not Pakistans Jugular vein and neither an integral part of India. You can abuse me as much as you want, but this is the truth.

Bro you are right. But I want to ask u one thing if kashmir is a hindu state did this happen. The answer is big no. Because if it was hindu majority they can't use their religious card. See if peblecite is done ladakhis will choose India. People of jammu will choose India. And coming to kashmir kashmiri pandits will vote for India. Shiya Muslims will also support India. I know there is lots of kashmiri Muslims who hates India. India have to support its people. Bro the fact is that kashmir will never be independent. And I personally doesn't want Azad kashmir to be part of India because it will create more chaos. See you can see that it's a completely religious matter. Pakistan should stop sending militants, and militancy training by their army.

Bro kashmiri pandits was genocided by its own people not by the govt or army.1 yr before these militants killed a 17 year boy as they mistaked him to be informer of Indian army. A kashmiri Muslim was kidnapped by milliants becoz he is an indian army personnel. A kashmiri Muslim journalist was also killed. Now 1 week back they killed 5 kashmiri, they killed all becoz they sopports India. When Pakistan stop its fanatism the kashmir will get peace.
