8:09 outsiders are not allowed to buy land in these states so that nature stays as it is, in these states. Before 2016, it was allowed to buy land in Uttarakhand, but after the floods which affected Kedarnath - the government knows that modernization of these holy hills, villages, and greeny seven sisters - will just bring destruction, natural disasters and harm the environment. The land bought in the hills of Uttarakhand can be used to construct tents for tourists and pilgrims but, not big hotels and big building for tourists .

I am from Jammu and Kashmir and have visited Uttarakhand and one thing you find the difference between the people of these states and rest of the country is calmness and no greed in their behavior. We can say that there are not MNC's and skyscrapers in these places but surely they are more developed(mentally). Government should be cautious in formulating policies for these states so as to not hinder or disturb the mentality and nature of these areas.

If u see the special status has been given to a few states like former j&k and the seven sisters.. giving special status is not that good of an idea considering the repercussions which would be felt country wide but yeah I agree that BJP shouldn't have promised a special status that was a suicide statement they knew that they couldn't fullfill the promise of special status. Yeah a special Andhra Pradesh budget would be a neat idea, extra money like in thousands of crores maybe that helps but idk mate maybe Andhra Pradesh argument is right about them being an old state whose capital was taken . For the AP people special status is a fantastic idea but for how years and will the politicians misuse it for their own gains and extend its duration these r a few concerns and a also a few illiterate states asking for this also becomes a problen

Regarding Assam, no the demography was not changed. Upper Assam still dominated by Assamese community, a majority among all, but still way less than 50%(wrt the entire state). Whereas the south Assam was basically part of undivided Bengal till 1947, many part of lower Assam was actually part of Bengal province till 1885, making Bengalis the original inhabitants of those parts. Further due to Assamese political dominance, which often is undermined, many bengali muslims had to register their mother tongue as Assamese, which unless happened, would have further increased the Bengali speaking population in the state. I hope you have some research to back you before coming up with a narrative next time around. Given the recent developments in the state, Bengalis inspite of being the original inhabitants of that land, are not in a very comfortable position to be honest, and that's true across religions.

He integrated j&k into India with the help of the law. In 1947 August 15, j&k was not part of India. Raja was interested to be independent. After Pak started attacking j&k, raja asked India help, along with this law, he agreed to integrate to India.
