Song Inspiration:
My 6 year old son, Buster couldn’t sleep the other night. His little heart was heavy. He said he wanted to do a "chariot" (charity) for kids and people who are sad this year especially, because of “the sickness,” and help lift people's spirits.
He said, "Maybe I’ll do a magic act on the street? But I might get 'street fright' though. Maybe I could rhyme words for 14 hours straight? Hmm, that’s a lot of rhyming. What if I didn’t use my hands for a whole day? But what if I get thirsty?"
Most important to him was finding a way to give people extra cheer this holiday season, especially grandmas and grandpas. So, I had a thought. “what if we work on a song to share with the world and give people hope and spread some Christmas cheer?!” And we did just that!
So, without further adieu, boys and girls, big and small, and one and all, my kids, Buster, Alvie and Goldie Rose and their band “Lunch B.A.G” (featuring their mama, Rosie Thomas and our dear friend's awesome kids,) with their debut single, “A Brighter New Year!” May it do for you what my boy hoped, fill your hearts with extra cheer this holiday season, give you hope for tomorrow and a brighter new year too!
