Evidently not everyone appreciates your idea solely because the router can be adjusted by hand while reaching beneath the table, but as someone with a severly torn rotor and four herniated discs which restricts me from doing this function by bending down, etc, etc, I for one greatly appreciate you offering your design here for those of us who do have a NEED for it. I may use a bottle-jack instead, but only if it will work as well as the scissors-jack, so we will see. Once again thank you, even if wasn't actually meant for us gimps who needed something like this.

The guy obviously has time to kill. If I tried to make such a jig on a job they would fire me as soon as I took out the car jack. It was a decent video, lots of response... but really..? I use screw Jack's to adjust decks and stuff. I got sucked in, and learned nothing but how to kill time.

Good idea, but why do so many KZbinrs screw up their videos by failing to - 1) ILLUSTRATE - show the actual finished product at the START of the video and build interest & anticipation as to how to make it. 2) DEMONSTRATE - then show the viewer how THEY can learn to make the same item via the video.

At the 5:16 mark is the final completed design. It looks like a router table with a jack lift. Nice idea for that need. I am more likely to use the drill and eyebolt on my jack when I do my car oil changes.

It’s a plung router what’s the reason for the jack? You can move it by hand the make minute adjustments with the part you attached to the underside of the table.

I've made a couple of router tables over the years and to be honest I wouldn't make another top from plywood. If you use a thick piece of poly propaline It'll last for many years and remain flat if supported properly. For a router table I also buy a router with an adjustment that can be accessed through the table from above. It makes it quick and easy.
