The Guide by R K Narayan is one of the best books. We read it in school. I always said RK Narayan should have got the Nobel Prize for Literature. The song shows Rosie breaking out from under the oppressive relationship with her husband Marco. She is a dancer and the anklets she wears sort of liberates her. Like the lyrics go, she feels like living again. Waheeda Rehman was perfect for the role, being an accomplished dancer and very graceful. Dev Anand got Pearl S Buck to write the screenplay for the English version of it.

The location is Chittorgarh Fort which is placed and covers an entire platue. I was Lucky to spend an important time of My childhood in Chittorgarh as a part of student of Sainik School Chittorgarh. Have many fond memories of this Fort as use to visit this location almost every month. Everytime I see this song a lot of good memories cheers me up.

It is a great movie of that time. He is called ,Gregory pack of India. Till his old age he was a chrismatic oersonsly, highly educated. She is a brilliant actress and classical dancer. In movie, When later she rejects him thinking he is after her money ( Though she becomes famous because of his afforts). He is dejected , settles un far away drought ridden village. ppl take him as a holy man, he has to fast for rains, when she realizes her mistake, travels barefeet to that village, but ultimately he dies. There is a song ' wahan kaun hai tera, musifir jayega kahan., dum leke garhi bhar, ye shayyan payega kahan' Oh traveller, ho is there, where are y going, take rest in shade. Means dont run after things in life, get a moment of reflection. The choregraphy is brilliant. We watch this movie now and then.

The story of an ultra wealthy+highly educated man marrying a former prostitute is interesting. In real life story like that is rare due to the unacceptance of family and society, but once the story like that is found in the real life, it will become a trending topic everywhere because the way they break a barrier is interesting and can be controversial at the same time. Btw, I found this catchy song from Dil Hai Tum Hara, titled Dil Laga Liya. Would you react on it on your top 10? The clip is very representing the Indian engagement ceremony 😃
