A Brit Trading in a Flea Market in Warsaw Poland 🇵🇱
Join me as we return to this amazing flea market in Warsaw Poland.
In a previous video I traveled to this flea market, only to find it closed (thank you google), so I vowed to return and what a great decision.
We explore this flea market and interact with the vendors, meet the locals and even cut a trading partnership with a fellow shopper.
An amazing place to visit if you ever get the chance... just remember to go on a Saturday for the best vibe.
-Bazar Na Kole
-Address: Obozowa 99, 01-433 Warszawa, Poland
-Phone: +48 22 836 23 51
If you enjoy adventure videos from the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe, then grab your vodka, some zakusky and join me as I venture around this amazing flea market in Warsaw Poland.

2:42 the guy says: are you catching flies, sir? :) 4:14 he says jokingly: money for filming, please! (Kasa is polish slang for cash , like 'dough' in English), 6:08 this one is serious, he says: speak Polish, dude! you're Polish, you're pretending to be a foreigner! 11:39 Sergey says in Polish with his strong Russian accent "trzydzieści pięć" which is "thirty five" in English :) 12:38 this guy was clearly some kind of lunatic... he was saying things like: "get lost, you are selling the same rubbish in your country" and then sth about the thieves who are stealing all over the world... and then that the USA murdered Indians 13:20 another freak, he says "Excuse me very much, do you happen to have permission to record?" and then things like "please erase it immediately!, can you hear me ? I'm going to call the police right now and they will arrest you! you are not allowed to film! 13:52 you will have "America" when you are in custody. 14:06 he says to his mates that you're an American 14:02 he says: "you will stop laughing soon!"

Great video! I've been to Warsaw a few times and always enjoy my stay there. I'm blown away by the friendly folks and great food. The prices have been going up but it's still a great country for a budget holiday. Crazy how some people get triggered by a person with a video camera. Keep doing what you do as there's lots of us out here hungry for more video of these interesting destinations. Each time I watch your videos I daydream about where my next destination will be. Perhaps I might follow in your footsteps and explore the Baltics soon. Cheers!

Hi Justin! Great video, as always. It's funny because some time ago I came across your channel by accident and you became my inspiration for a trip to Riga, and now a few months later I'm watching videos where you show places I live next to. Regarding the unpleasant situation at the market, those guys were simply unhappy that you were recording them, well, visiting unusual places as antique markets such situations are simply included in the price. Anyway, I would like to recommend you a great historical place in Warsaw - the "Osiedle Przyjaźń". This is the original preserved neighbourhood where the soviet builders of the Palace of Culture and Science once lived. It is really unique in Warsaw, in fact it is unbelievable that it still exists. It's actually not far from the market you were at, in addition, easy to get there, a stop of the M2 (Bemowo) subway line has just opened next door. I strongly recommend it, you will definitely enjoy it. All the best!

15:02 This mate recommended you visiting city of Toruń (~200km west from Warsaw). It's really worth to see because of its rich heritage; said that Toruń is a medieval town with plenty of gothic architecture. But as I know you are not typical tourist who's interested in common destinations. If I could suggest something special for you it would be town of Borne-Sulinowo, former soviet military base with loads of remnants from the commies era. The town is now 30 years in Polish hands after we finally got rid from Russians soldats.

I lived near the Koło flea market for several years but visited it only once as I try not to own too many things (I move a lot and I feel better owning less). From my observation the flea market operated from Saturday to Sunday. On Saturday you would see more people selling different things from their home, I have even seen someone trying to sell one shoe :) On Sunday there would be more antigue things, like really interesting pieces of furniture, but also everything would be quite pricey.

God I got so embarassed for that weird interaction you had. The guy with the cap was indeed asking if you have permission to film. He was even threatening to call the police on you 😅 dont know if its just a Polish thing or it is similar in other countries from the post soviet region, but it happens quite often that if youre filming in public someone will approach you and ask if you have a "permission", as if it was even required 😆 usually its older people who often happen to be grumpy for no reason at all, no matter what country youre from. As for the guy from the car he thought you were an American. He called going around with camera silly/clownery. Then he goes on talking about how Americans killed so many ppl throughout history, including indigenous people. Actually I think they both thought you were an American. Well, I hope your time here was enjoyable despite small inconveniences.

@@J.E.E Sony sounds so expensive already. Mate, I know how random and creepy this sounds, but it is not at all creepy although 100% random. I want to do better than kzbin.info/www/bejne/imnNnWRmo5yAhJo in Olecko this August. I have a house on the square for three weeks in August. Visit, stay a day. I am going to buy a camera.

There is no shortage of morons in the world. Unfortunately, they are also in Poland. In Poland, there is no ban on filming unless someone tells you clearly that he or she does not want to specifically film him, and showing his image in public may hurt him, but then he has to go to court and prove it to you.

In large international retail chains operating in Poland, it is also not allowed to film the goods and prices on the shelves. I was also a security guard so I know the subject.

Justin, I think many of these people either thought that you'll show them in a bad light (ironically they've done it by themselves) or you'll accidentally film their shady merchandise or transactions. This attitude probably comes from Polish People's Republic era or 1990s, after we transitioned to capitalism with its free market. Back then many of similar flea markets were blooming and I can assure you that lots of shady deals were done there. I know that you prefer to film alone, but if I were you I'd try to go to these shady places with someone who knows the local language. It would spare you troubles and bad experiences. If you could explain to them why are you filming the place, I'm sure many of these people would leave you alone.

You need to understand that if people don't want to be filmed you can't film them. You can't expect them to speak English. Most of them are older people with no English and they want their privacy. You can't just go with a camera around filming people's faces and saying you don't speak Polish.
