This is what happened to me and I bought the one she recommended and it actually HAS FRAGRANCE in it. CRIES as i've now wasted money on it.
@malcolm44444 жыл бұрын
Just fyi, the dollar shave cream has fragrance. I use dollar shave, but they lowkey hide their ingredients (you have to go to faqs), and at the end after the preservative it says "Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance (Parfum)." I would probably still use, especially bc the preservative is usually like .1% and the fragrance is after, but just wanted to let y'all know! For my personal recs, i love the elf fragrance free holy hydration cream, and the ordinary nmf has a very un-elegant texture but gets the job done! You can also always use a hydrating serum followed by or mixed with an oil in the place of moisturizer!

Genesis Murrietta not all alcohols are bad. It depends on the type. The cetyl alcohol & cetearyl alcohol used in this product are fatty alcohols which have emollient properties. Alcohols such as SD, isopropyl, denatured alcohol along with other alcohols can be an issue. My concern with this product would really be the ingredients somebody else listed above. I would suggest doing some more research on the different types of alcohols just so you don’t limit yourself to more products than necessary. It’s already hard enough with so many companies using fragrances and other unnecessary ingredients.

The sucky thing about the inkey list and the ordinary BHA is that, per ounce they're actually not cheaper than paula's choice. I begrudgingly use stridex pads right now, but they are very strong and fragranced, so i wash them off
@talitanathalie4 жыл бұрын
Malcolm Wallace stridex pads only contain 2% of salicylic acid that’s why it’s not the best choice for sensitive skin because of the high percentage. it doesn’t have any other fragrance or ingredients, only contains salicylic acid as far as ik though 🤔

T 26 It contains sls as the second ingredient and menthol, which is a fragrance/fragrant and sensitizing alcohol. The paula's choice bha is also 2% but much more gentle and no fragrance or soaps/solvents like sls

If anyone struggled with acne or fungal acne I highly recommend as a broke bitch myself some sulfur cream from Walmart for $4. You put it on cleansed skin where you have acne for 10-20 min like a mask rinse and moisturizer and that works sooooo much better and faster than spot treatments and leaves NO SCAR. Especially bc it’s not as sensitizing, it’s dermatologist approved and super cheap ;)
@ultraviolence68394 жыл бұрын
I trust Sarah's insights on skin care so much that whenever I would buy or apply any product, I'd make sure to think first in Sarah's perspective or like "would Sarah use or approve of this?" 🤣. Also, I have been recently diagnosed by my dermatologist that I have 'hypersensitive' skin brought about by the pills I took for my illness. 😕 So, my options are very, very limited now. When I used the Ordinary with Salicylic Acid, the area burned! The burn literally took weeks to heal.

Also another tip is look at the ingredients list at the back! They’re all written down in their scientific terms but google is your friend when it comes to that! The first 5-8 ingredients are usually the most active ingredients and anything after that is the least active line (which is basically the 1% line) and a good rule of thumb is that once you see “citric acid” which is the most basic and natural preservative, anything that comes after that would almost do nothing for your skin! Some companies would use more than just citric acid as their preservative so if you’re really unsure about the effectiveness of a product, google each ingredient that they’ve listed down. What they claim to be the active ingredient should be on the first 5-8 ingredients before the preservatives.

I struggle with acne and also loves skincare and I’ve been researching about skincare and what works for my skin since middle school when I started getting acne, and I think I have finally recently found the perfect routine FOR ME (after so many experiments and using harsh chemicals on my skin, my skin has built a resistance to higher percentage products, so some of these might be too strong for your skin), I have extremely oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin and here’s my routine: 1. Paula‘s choice clear-pore normalizing cleanser with 0.5% salicylic acid ($13 for 6oz) 2. Paula’s choice clear-anti-redness exfoliating solution with 2% salicylic acid(I only use this like every 2 days to not overly strip my skin) ($30 for 4oz) 3. Paula’s choice skin balancing pore reducing toner with niacinamide for oily and combination skin($21 for 6.4oz) 4. The ordinary niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum ($11 for 2oz) 5. The ordinary azelaic acid suspension 10%($8 for 1oz) (Step 4 and 5 are ingredients that worked for me when I was using curology but buying these products individually is honestly more affordable) 7. Nature republic aloe Vera 92%(at night) ($7 for 10.56oz) 8. Some by mi-AHA BHA PHA 30days miracle cream(in the morning) ($18 for 1.6oz) 9. Sunscreen: Paula’s choice clear ultra-light daily hydrating Fluid with SPF 30+($33 for 2oz) (If anyone has any recommendations for sunscreen for oily skin pls lemme know the P.C can make my skin kinda flakey) I know this seems like a lot and pricey but these products last me a long time
