Hell yeah, I’m excited for this. Everything nowadays is just “100 days in hardcore” or “hardcore ep 1”. Glad to see just a regular vanilla survival series again.

This makes me so happy. I didn't dislike the other recent series, but they just weren't as enjoyable - to me - because I'm a really vanilla player in general. I love longer, more relaxing Minecraft series where there's no pressure to have crazy builds every episode, and no constant threat of dying and losing the world. I do like the hardcore series, but I'll always prefer plain vanilla survival. The world in a jar thing was interesting, and I even downloaded it myself to try it out and it was fun. But it felt like I lost interest in it fairly quickly once the novelty wore off - not just on your series but in my own playthrough of it. Once I had visited every jar, I just kind of lost interest in general. But a classic vanilla survival world, that can keep me interested for a crazy amount of time. I'm probably in the minority on that, but...whatever lol. The most important thing - and I always say this - is for Neo to be doing whatever makes him happiest. If this brings back that excitement that's all that matters!

i agree with the crazy builds, like why are you spending like 30-100 hours on a single build when just playing the game will probably be enough for some people

I absolutely love this OG style of let's play! I feel like most new Minecraft videos are over doing it with all the editing and post commentaries and crazy builds that get jammed into a single episode... Personally I think going through the survival journey every step of the way is much more enjoyable and authentic. Great job Neo, I'm looking forward to the next episodes :)

The base started looking awesome from the beginning, but I was left absolutely speechless when you did the interior. It looks amazing! I always love your bases. They're the coolest. The magma blocks give off such a cozy vibe too, especially in the upper floor, it's like they're a modern fireplace. And I have a soft spot for aquariums, so I fell in love with the little kelp idea. The leaves also make it seem fresh and relaxing. I really can't wait to see more! Your videos are always very enjoyable to watch, so I hope that you'll find the joy in making them too.

I’m loving this!!! The OG let’s play with the quarry is what hooked me on your videos and this definitely has the same vibes. It would take you 4 episodes to do a build stuff, which was reasonable. It gave people reason to tune in the next day. Cannot wait for episode 100.

I'm glad you're enjoying the terrain. Broken and weird terrain with floating islands in the sky is a Bedrock thing. Now that Mojang is pushing parity between Bedrock and Java on seed generation you get to enjoy this as well.

This seed is super cool!! That's what I love the most about this game, you can always be surprised by something. Just like the time where I spend months in the same valley just building my house and a village, a chill game, and I realised that I was just above the stronghold this whole time 🤣

I always like to put light blocks behind my chests in my storage room, either glowstone or sea lanterns. Now that we have frog lights I can't wait to see how that looks. Really wish they would put in dyeable glowstone.

Lee, a little hack my dad taught me for gutter cleaning? Use a spaghetti spoon; the slotted, kind of toothed ones? It'll scoop up all the crud, but drain out any water to go down the flowpipes. It's a weird trick, but it works.

Hey Neo, this starter base is probably my favorite starter base that you've created so far! I do have a suggestion though, maybe take away the stair pillars that lead to the chest room and switch them out with leaves? Also, maybe switch out the fence upstairs for trapdoors, spruce trapdoors to be exact! Much love man! This build definitely is getting me back to want to play og Minecraft again!

Also, the chest room on the other side of the chests you could tunnel over to the main part of the mountain and make a room there that leads into a mine and have extensions off of that that lead to a dock or a forge room. Just some ideas is all

From someone who only bought and started playing Minecraft in April 2022, it's nice to see a series showing someone else playing a survival world. If you like interesting seeds, I found a great one. Use "drogna" (minus the quotes) as your seed and there are some amazing caverns, cliffs and if you venture a way west you'll find three villages within a few hundred blocks of each other. If you are on the latest 1.19 your spawn point (0,y,0) is roughly in the centre of three deep dark ancient cities too.
