Was fun to watch. Left an abo! Keep up the good racing. Greetings from Austria! By the way: what Overlay do you use? Thx.

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching! I'm using Racelabs for the overlays in OBS.

I've been enjoying your vids! Respectable and mature racing. Regarding the incident: Did you not force him into a slowdown at the chicane? I hear what you're saying of backing out where that is often the smarter decision especially if you make a mistake. However, the way I see it is he is not just letting you go, it's likely he would also be letting the car behind go which #16 dipping in behind you would have still made it two wide there. I think I would have considered racing for that position since the stakes were higher and the cars ahead are still close. In my opinion he was still entitled to space at the chicane until the overtake was complete regardless of how the situation was created. The rest of assessment I agree with, really good racing.
@chrisstewarttv24 күн бұрын
Yes, that's effectively how it went down. In the end, regardless of whether he lost 1 or 2, he was likely going to either way. Fighting it makes us both so much slower through that section and gives those behind a great opportunity. Not fighting it would have created more side by side behind, as you mentioned. Not a great outcome either way, I suppose. As for space in the chicane, I thought he'd have braked a bit earlier / harder into the first apex to let the pass complete by the second apex and therefore I took it more normally. I still left some space, but yeah, not enough to get two through there without a slowdown for him. Tough to gauge in the moment there, with no clear lines for where those limits are. Once I realized he was still there after the second apex, I tried to give space again getting through the third apex. Good analysis on your part. Tough situation I think, all around.
@Masty55924 күн бұрын
@@chrisstewarttv I agree, very tough situation for both. It was hard skillful racing and these things happen. Surviving chicanes like that, two-wide, is epic racing. The space at second apex was not mentioned is why I posed the question as an alternate angle for discussion. Your assessment is still quite fair, conceding the position would have likely avoided any contact/slowdown then he could have been closer for immediate attack instead of having to serve a slowdown; 9/10 the wiser choice is to concede the spot. Anyway, I appreciate the reply and look forward to more videos!

You know that meme with the little kid who has his armed crossed with an angry face? Yeah, I'm super happy for you. 🤣 I'm kidding, of course, glad you had an epic race. I hope I have a few of those this coming week.

I looking to buy my first gt3 car in iracing, does the Porsches rear view screen show up in the bezel on triples?
@chrisstewarttv26 күн бұрын
It's going to depend on a number of factors; size, FOV setup, distance from display, etc. I'd say most likely yes, it will. Personally, I don't run with any car mirrors. I just use the virtual rear view. I find the performance much better that way.

I bounce around from VRS, HYMO, and p1doks. Currently on p1doks.

@@chrisstewarttv How much faster are those setups compared to the baseline?
@chrisstewarttv26 күн бұрын
It'd be hard to give you a lap time delta. Maybe that would make for a good video. I can say it's significant. A good setup that fits your driving style gives you benefits everywhere. Competing in Open with the Fixed setup is just asking for a bad time, assuming the field is relatively level in skill/pace.
@potfishgames121626 күн бұрын
@@chrisstewarttv Great to know. I'm on the baseline setup and on zolder I can just about hit a 1:29. Thanks for the information.

Question(s) Looking under the "live" section this wasn't broadcast live. Looking at Twitch this wasn't live either. If that is the case, how are the "New Subs", chat etc. showing up what appears to be live? Please shed some light on this. If you are streaming are you streaming to both Twitch and KZbin at the same time as I heard this was not possible due to Twitches rules? Anyway, thanks again.
@chrisstewarttv6 күн бұрын
It was streamed. I stream and then record each race individually, in case it's worth posting to KZbin. I do stream to both and combine the chats on my stream. I'm not big enough for Twitch to care and if they do, I'll just do it until they shut me down. 😁

@@chrisstewarttv What streaming software? I use OBS but I have to bounce back and reset everything if I go from KZbin to Twitch etc.

OBS with a plug-in for extra RMTP destinations. Look up Atrium OBS.

This is one of those tracks where it’s like… why is this on the GT3 calendar? It’s far too narrow for faster bigger cars
@chrisstewarttv25 күн бұрын
I tend to agree with you. I've enjoyed hot lapping and learning the track, but racing has been a nightmare. People worry that Monaco would be a snooze fest. I don't see how Zolder is any different, tbh.

I’ve never had a clean GT3 race at Moza, Monza, Spa or Zolder… I swear it brings the dirtiest drivers out of iracings basement everytime. One time I had a fit and said f it after being murdered 3 times at spa. I just kept reloading races and lost a total of 900IR for the week. I just wanted to see how bad it could actually get. Stopped racing GT3 and finally got back to 2.7K IR and got back up to A license after losing it from that week
@chrisstewarttv26 күн бұрын
Oof, that's a rough week. At some point I just stop the bleeding and prep for the next week. Lots of good tracks coming up soon.
