What a great video man. Many reviewers don't go to such lengths discussing and sharing their experiences with cars. Now this gives me a first person perspective of the car, and I can confidently say I can relate because you've given all the pros and cons. From this review, I can clearly decide if want to buy or not. Thanks Seb

Thanks for the review sir. Please don't rush to sell the H2 it is one of the solid products as you said, just push to lower the money you still owe to the financial provider, unless if you bought it cash. Regarding the issue of headlights check your headlamp leveling maybe is too low, that's why you see the lights cuts low. Good luck with the channel.
@sebuwam3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Demtumza. Yeah, I have no reason to change it really, remember cars will forever improve and you can't keep up with trends as they change now and then. I make sure that I adjust my lights to the highest all the time, this time (as shown on the video) I realised actually it was "2 fold" down but overall the principle remains it does not change materialy. Believe me, we have been experiencing this way longer than just now on the video.

In respect to the AC using so much power, and #HAVAL - listen up now - implement a setting in Eco mode or a button on its own that recognizes when the accelerator is pressed while traveling below a certain speed and when the RPMs are low so that the compressor switches off, once there is enough speed and RPMs then you can activate the compressor. So essentially, whenever your foot is off the accelerator (freewheeling, at a standstill or downshifting) the compressor should be running but when you need the power, the compressor needs to deactivate automatically in order to provide it. It would not be all that difficult for a vehicle manufacturer to implement a couple lines of code to achieve this. I want every manufacturer to take this advice to heart and start implementing the option because with engines becoming smaller and smaller it is an absolute must to be able to provide the power when power is required, end of story, time to step up.

A little too technical for me but I believe thats what they did on the Kia Sonet, it was the 1st "normal" car I drove that felt like the aircon system is separated from the engine's power.🤔

I' am driving a brand new Jollion Mars Red. Got it at 25km now 350km dzamn we turning heads. I don't know much about cars but I love itttttttttttt. My full tank lasted for 320km I don't know but feel like it's too much.
@matthewmokoena21233 жыл бұрын
Amukelo, not sure what the tank capacity on the Jolion is, but that sounds really bad, even for town driving. That translates to about 17.1 litres per 100KMs assuming the tank is 55 litres and you had filled it up as you say
@sebuwam3 жыл бұрын
It's still new and to experience that you must have been hummering it, robot to robot and also high revs. However, it will settle with time, I would assume that you still excited and its not easy to just drive like you had it for a year. 🤣. Otherwise, I am sure its going to settle down, its not only the fuel even some of the things are not yet well lubricated and running as they will after maybe 3000km. So hold on for now, go easy on it you will see. One example is a performance car, if you buy Audit RS4 for example, they will tell you not to rev it or drive it in a certain way until 3000km. Same principle.

Good review, but you should make it shorter, I only had time to watch halfway. Had our H2 Lux for a year and 12000km now, sometimes I regret not waiting for Jolion, H6 or Corolla Cross, but other times I think no, this is our car now, it is what it is, it seems like it will last a very long time, and I'll never get near that for R319k again.
@sebuwam2 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, thanks a lot for the feedback, I have to agree, its quite a drag as I tried to explain a lot of things at once. I have to say looking at the latest Haval offerings it is okay to feel that way, I felt the same way the day I got into the Jolion and even worse in the H6. Like you, I learned to just be cool and go with it, got the H2 at R330K and still one of the best decisions. Currently its retail value is still more than R300K after 2 years, which is a good thing, especially for people who bought before price adjustments in 2020.

What about steep hill performance?
@sebuwam3 жыл бұрын
Hi, its actually alright but you can feel that its working harder. Its not as smooth as a 1.4 in the VW Tiguan/Audi Q3 for example but it can climb. Depending on the slope it can manage to get above 140km/h going up on slope where many cars struggle, in town it does not struggle much as its not a high speed drive anyway

We are over 30000km now, never had any issues. The Lux is quite expensive in the second hand market, you can even get Jolion City for less than this one. It's selling for R350K now and Jolion City brand new is R343K! Unless if you want leather and Sunroof🤔

Hi Sebuwa! Thanks for the insightful video, keep up the good work. Re your insurance, I think you're being ripped off and should consider getting a new quote or 2 to compare. I know everyone has different profiles and histories etc., but you shouldn't be paying R1500 for a 2020 for an H2. All the best!

If you check most of my videos are mainly "first impressions". I am not getting cars for a week to analyse pros and cons. I will get there though, its only a matter of working harder and time to gain that trust from manufacturers.

@@sebuwam I feel you, it's the same with most things when you looking to do to reviews. Trust is one thing and promoting a product is another. In theory both parties should benefit but that's not always the case so I can understand their hesitation to just hand over cars.

I just wanted to ask about the issue regarding the headlights not projecting far enough. Doesn't the car have a headlight adjusting switch? I've found that on other cars that you can play with the switch until you find your preferred setting.
@sebuwam3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it has. I make sure I put mine high all the time. In the video though I noticed they were two fold down after I did the review. Which will not give the most accurate measurement. However, even when they are high, we still experience the same issue. I experienced this way before the video and not necessarily only in the video.

@sebuwam Жыл бұрын
Sure Andile, yes we still have it. It's on +43 000km now, never had any mechanical issue, still under service plan. The only unusual thing is that the key ran out of battery already. That is too soon I guess but everything else is working just fine. I saw one at the dealership on Friday, it was going for R300K, I guess it's holding up value as favoured by the mad prices in the second hand market.🙂
