A/C Stink????? 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima in Cabin Air Filter replacement

Well, that’s the last time I ever do that! Had to contort my body in ways I didn’t think it could move to get that thing in! Mine didn’t have that little pin. Probably broken by previous owner, so to get it open I would up breaking the entire clip that holds the cover in place. Hopefully, whomever designed this at Nissan has long since been fired. Worst design ever!!

Great video on the location of this filter, another tip is if you can't pinch the filter use a o ring or gasket pick to hook the filter

Lesson learned from my 2014 don't buy carbon filter buy the cheapest ones they flex way easier. Carbon ones are very difficult to install

I just did this on my 2014 Maxima. What idiot thought this up? I had an 08 Altima equally as “fun”. There is no way a body is designed to bend like this🤷‍♂️

'It slides right down' after you've broken the top clip holding the door on. Noticed that the door of your air filter housing wasn't flush when you removed it. Thanks for the starting point, but I'm going to do a bit more research before I break something.

It's hell to remove! You will scratch fingers.2nd day in vehicle and ya can totally notice the difference.

Not that easy because you already had it out. Impossible to get 2 fingers in the slot to pull it out. Save yourselves some headaches and take the glove box out. 8 screws
