You fingered tf outta that filter😂it was crunchy asl, I had mine changed once by Valvoline years ago and I was so pissed when I saw how easy n fast it was to change and they charged me like $40. I vowed to do it myself next time so I'm going to try it tomorrow. Kudos to you for changing the filter w/ one hand while holding phone in other for our viewing needs = mad appreciated!! thanks

Definitely the most thorough of the 3 vids I watched. Almost certain the arrow must point to the rear. I noticed when you installed it the pull tab went inside the vehicle… I checked my replacement and it has a pull tab on the lower right side to help with getting it out. Arrows pointing to the inside of the car instead of the engine.

Your video was very helpful, but man this a tough job, especially if you are claustrophobic as I am. I got to the step of installing the new filter and gave up. It is ridiculous how Nissan designed this. Opting to pay to have it done, but now by a dealership. Thanks for the vidoe

You can spray the filter with your favorite scent, mines is (Little Trees Black Ice), and your car will smell so good, on top of whatever air freshener you have inside the car.

You are the GOAT couldn't do it 2 years ago. The pro tip is removing the side trim/ panel. One thing I noticed when I installed the new one it didn't sit flush in spot where white panel can be seen but sat more toward the front and forward not sure how much that will matter but I assume more difficult next time I remove

You put the filter in with the arrows facing the front of the vehicle. You installed it wrong. The arrow but be pointed to the rear of the vehicle.

I'm a bodybuilder with wide shoulders, but I was able to do it. Seemed a little claustrophobic down there. Only hard part probably pulling old one out without tearing it too much and then put the plastic cover on. I guess I had to really push the top part of the filter all the way in so the plastic on the top would be flush, then I was able to latch the bottom. Just an uncomfortable position to be in when you are a big dude.

They had told me that the arrow has to face towards the back of the car. I think he had it on backwards. Cause even the tab to pull the filter out was going inside first. And that tab is to help you pull the filter out.

@@raulflores6089 I’ve tried putting it myself and it was a pain in the ass cause the filter that I’ve ordered on Amazon was too stiff. I took a break then tried again for the second time. Got it in but ddnt fit in properly so I was like fuck it and took it to the dealership the next day lol.

Dam sorry to hear that. I ordered one off amazon also amd yesterday put it in but was also to stiff but eventually got it in. Next time ill order the usual one i get a fram scented one. More flexible

@@raulflores6089 it goes in horizontally so either way the arrow is pointing in the same direction however when I took mine out it said "Nissan" on it so makes me believe it's the original and the arrow was pointing towards the engine bay however I have the Platinum not sure if it's different for me but on a separate video they said whichever side is dirtier is where the flow is coming from which the side coming from the trunk was the dirtier side so I just put mine in with the arrow facing towards the engine bay, but I also heard the arrows don't always indicate are flow so idfk idc at this point nothing gives me clear concise directions
