I just got home from work and saw this in my notifications and immediately clicked! My husband walked in and I said, "Look! This is the lady who designs those gorgeous Lavinia stamps!" He watched with me and said, "Hmm. That is pretty cool." Beautiful card! I was so happy you used this particular stamp because I'm a fiend for trees and never knew quite what to do with this one :) Now, of course, I have to buy it!

Hi Tracy. It is 3:00am here in Australia. I can’t sleep and it has been over a week since I have watched any KZbin channels. Livinnia stamps is one of my favourites. Early New Years Eve a raging fire storm rushed through our beautiful valley where we have raised beef cattle for over 45 years. It killed one of my neighbours over a third of our cattle, consumed what was left of the drought ravaged grass and raised our home and sheds to the ground. We miraculously escaped with our lives. It destroyed my studio with all my art supplies including my extensive collection of stamps, stamp pads, brushes and the list goes on. At least I can watch if not do through the generosity of youtubers thank you.

I noticed that your white Jelly Roll pen easily glides across the ink. I love to color in Prisma color pencils and find it very difficult to get a good hightlight with the Jelly Roll pens on the wax pencils, even applying as little pressure as I can. Your work turned out beautifully.

Stunning card! What supplies did you use and where can they be bought?
@bonniekitt15 жыл бұрын
My friend and I tried the technique with the gel plate, brushos. But, unfortunately we did not have the same paper nor did we have the ink that you used on the gel plate. As a result it did not come out at all, which leads me to believe that paper does make a difference as does the ink you use on the gel plate. We tried archival ink and distress ink as the base and all we got was a mess. So I’m thinking that your multifarious paper does seem to be what is required to make this process work. I tried it on watercolor paper and didn’t get any better results. You always make your projects look so easy! I love the stamps and your processes and will keep trying.

@mzp66205 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the info about the brushos. I have been using way too much water, and too little brusho! I was pretty disappointed with how my backgrounds were turning out, very little variation in color. "ah ha" :| Even the tip about knock off the big drops first, totally makes sense since I was also getting large 'water' spots. sigh. Anyway, thanks for all of the hard work in putting out fab designs year after year. Wishing you all the best in 2020 Tracey. :)

Can anyone tell me please whether the glitter powder sticks permanently to the card stock without brushing off onto skin or clothing or any other surface the card comes into contact with. It looks fabulous on the card but will it stay put? I always thought you needed some sort of adhesive to get it to stick.
@victoriousvalentine97795 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure she used a glue pen prior to using the glitter...
@kkrolf27824 жыл бұрын
Yup, she used a glue pen first. I don’t think I’d have done as MUCH glue pen work before applying the glitter, ‘cuz I would also be afraid that the glitter would be apt to come off.

J'adore, une petite question le stylo que vous utilisez il sert à quoi c'est de la colle ?
@gretewennike45485 жыл бұрын
can't you use a glass plate to get the same effect?
@kkrolf27824 жыл бұрын
grete wennike I asked that same question of The Frugal Crafter, in the question/ commentary section of one of her GELLI Plate tutes. Had to read and run, so I didn’t commit the answer to memory as I should have (SHAME on me, when she took the time to respond!!!). I THINK one of the m a i n reasons was slippage. I believe Lindsay said that slippage, and consequential smearing, would be minimized using a GELLI Plate, as opposed to the glass plate. Do check out her vids on GELLI plate techniques; not as elegant as this one, but we learn from many sources through life.

If I have learned one important thing from watching your tutorials, it's that inky fingers and stained gel presses do NOT make a difference in the end result.
