I'd be sitting there in shock, "They're paying me to have fun?? Really?" What a blast. As i gather, it's basically like having a double major in psychology as well as music. The internship is no joke. But I'm hard pressed to figure out anything that would be more fun.

Entry into the arts therapist roles (art, music and drama therapist) is through postgraduate professional training. You would likely need at least a bachelor's in psychology as well as music. Afterwards, I believe you then enroll in music therapy related courses and complete the final exam to earn your license. You'll likely need over 1000 hours of in-clinic training as well

You can obtain a music therapy equivalency (1-2years) …or better yet your Master of Music Therapy equivalency (3years), Duquesne University has one of the best programs for this

Hi! I dont know if anything im about to say will relate to you, but this is my career plan: Start in audio engineering and sound technology anything in that field which might involve music theory (not 100% sure). This is all so u can do my own audio buisness and gigging. But then start courses in clinical therapy and psychology, as well as anatomy and stuff like that. This well all help lay the perfect base a Music Therapist will need. Even if there is not an actual Music Therapy program accessible to you, you can still go a route similar to this.

you can major in MT at many colleges. Including Berklee and Julliard!

Sydney Pitts you would need to check with your local hospital. Some have policies that allows under 16s to voluneteer in the health service where others only take over 16s or even 18s.
