Congrats to both teams, a well played final game, which was a pleasure to watch. There is nothing to hide about that Egonu is a great player and carried Imoco through the final, while Vakifbank is a real compact team; however in the critical moments especially Maja, Milena and Zehra performed poorly

well, 4 points are not much to Conegliano, I mean, in 2019 they came back from a 10-14 and won, so 4 points down at the beginning of a set wasn't a bid deal for them. Anyway, both teams showed a good battle and Haak will surely improve a lot, both deserved the win!

You know it's getting serious when Haak's impeccable hair starts unraveling 🥴 In my opinion, Vakif did a great job controlling Imoco's quick attacks & middles, but was unable to stop the most important factor -- Egonu. In contrast, Imoco was able to limit Haak to some degree, with monster blocks on her at just the right moments. The 5th set was setting up to be a reversal of the memorable World Club Championship 2019 run at match point, but all it took was a tiny touch of the middle finger to dash those dreams. Congrats to the all the players! Grateful to CEV Champions League for providing some of the best international volleyball matches these past months, with the drought of games brought by 2020 -- looking forward to the upcoming VNL 2021 & of course, the Olympics!

I am so happy that Imoco and Vakif got to play the final one against each other. Finals are often worse than some other matches, but this one did not disappoint for sure! Very balanced match. I could notice Imoco was a bit more tired compared to some months ago and struggled a bit with outside hitters (also because Hill was very well contained by Vakif). Egonu did so well in the most important moments, she is for sure my MVP. Vakif did amazing in defence, Haak and most of all Gabi, such an amazing and techically phenomenal outside hitter she is!

Nasıl biz en zorlu rakiple karşılaştıysak onlar da en zorlu rakiple karşılaştı. Normalin daha altında olmaları normal. Egonu daha az servis hatası yapabilirdi belki, ki egonunun servislerinde beklenilen düşük seviye de gelmedi. Maja çok kötüydü, o iyi olsa maçı alırdık. Zehra kötüydü. Blokta kötü olmasındansa hücumda kötü olması daha çok etkiledi bence. Ayça da mis gibi oynadı, karşıladığı toplarda da hiçbir sıkıntı yok. Maja gayet tek adım alarak file önünden attı tüm pasları. Hepsine rağmen daha 2-1ken 4. seti alıp yenebilirdik çünkü set sonu öne geçmiştik. Olmayınca olmuyor belli ki.

Comunque, con tutto il rispetto per la Rapha folie, io sono convinta che Fhar sarebbe stata più utile in questo match, e ci avrebbe aiutato meglio a contenere Haak, dato che Folie è più una centrale di attacco che di muro, mentre Fhar è efficiente nel secondo anche se più giovane ed inesperta, perà compensa con la sua statura. Così come sono dubbiosa su l'uscita così frettolosa di Sylla, ma forse avrà avuto i suoi motivi, tipo la condizione fisica non ottimale.

You guys do understand that the players don't always make their own choices, right? Where the serve goes, who gets the most sets, how, when, all of that is based on hundreds of hours of work to try and get the best tactics possible to win the match against a specific team. I'm sure Maja was told to set Haak a lot, I'm sure they were instructed not to go middle a lot since conegliano knows it's their strength. It's not always what the player wants, but what coaches want. Also, Maja likes to dump the ball over a lot, she only tried twice. I'm sure they told her not to... so yeah... I blame the coaching staff

She even set the ball twice to no one. Maja played rush. The quality of sets given to Haak was forced as compared to the quality of sets wolosz gave to Egonu. I think it's time for her to retire. Gabi and MBH were lethal spikers as well Rasic. Volleyball is a team play never a one ma show. Guidetti is a type of coach who always maximizes her players and not rely on a single player alone. Isabelle Haak was the star of the 1st to 4th Set, with less than 5 errors with 30 points. Unfortunately, she got tired in the 5th set, and Egonu who made 30 points but 13 errors before the tie-break exceptionally took the 5th set. I think as of now, no one can stop Egonu at the Club level or maybe in the world but let's all agree that Haak did a great job in this final, especially on her experience as a very young player. They almost got Imoco during the end of the 4th set and if they did, Haak will be the MVP who defeated most of the star players from different strong volleyball countries. One thing for sure is will be seeing these two in a great match-up in the future.

However and unfortunately, Isabelle Haak doesn't have the same experience with her, such as facing the biggest stars in this generation of volleyball multiple times. ​@@elijahsamosino5868 I think Haak is one of the best opposite of this younger generation, after Egonu and Boskovic. But consider also that Imoco played one of its worst matches of the year; they were really tired and they haven't really recoverd from the italian finals yet (Vakif had 1 week more to rest and prepare), they made tons of errors and had really bad reception (while they usually have a very good one). Egonu too was having a bad day: in recent years she never committed so many errors (she did a lot of errors when younger, but she's less prone to errors now, she still does errors while serving though). I don't think this particular match is expressive of their real strenght because it was a strange and tiresome season but, still, even with all the errors, Egonu managed to strike 39 winning spikes (55%), while Haak did 30 winning spikes (40%), and Haak was served slightly more than Egonu (75 for Haak, 71 for Egonu); btw Egonu was also served less in the first 4 sets compared to Haak (don't know why, probably the coach thought it best to preserve Egonu a bit and it paid in the end). I think that if Egonu is having a good day there's nothing really stopping her. Nonetheless Haak is a very strong player, one of the best player of the world.

No, completely wrong. Egonu only played badly on the serve, a rare event however. In attack there is no story, Haak has proved to be clearly inferior. Egonu's 8 mistakes (4 more than Haak) with a 15% higher percentage of excellent attacks exactly demonstrates Egonu's superiority: if she doesn't make errors, no one can stop her. In short, she decides everything. Instead Haak has been stopped many times: 6 blocked spikes (Egonu 2), but besides these more than twenty attacks have been dampened by the block, while those of Egonu almost never. That 55% of Egonu, against that 40% of Haak, says it all. Egonu CLEARLY superior, more decisive and more efficient, that is, in other words, more useful to the team.

I said that Egonu did more errors than usual and that she still managed to have a 55% of winning spikes against 40% of Haak. And that Haak was setted more balls than Egonu but scored less (Haak in the first 3 sets had 53 balls setted for her, Egonu only 38). Still, Haak is an an amazing player, one of the best, but Egonu is almost unstoppable.

Kübra konusuna gelince aslında o da bloklara geç kalıyor olmasına rağmen yine de denemekte fayda vardı ama guidetti’nin işlerine akıl sır ermiyor tek üzüldüğüm nokta imoco çok hata yaptı ve ona rağmen kupayı alamadık

@@carllyrics5285 Just a nice reminder that the World Championship was 3 years ago, in the meantime Egonu won 2 MVP, one on a world level while Boskovic left the court crying in both occasions. National teams are not everything, but the next few years will clearly show that. Boskovic is a champion and will still play great for a long time, but Paola now is on another level. She can't compare for elevation, resistence, technique and variety of hits.

It seems to me that to beat Imoco, Vakif needs... winning. I appreciate it seems obvious, but winning gives you the confidence and with that, the tranquility to play the though points which in turns makes you win (or keeps you winning). That said, Imoco is a great team because it has beaten a great opponent. What sets these two teams apart today is just the last hurrah.

In una finale del genere giocata tra le due squadre migliori al mondo, con una partita tiratissima dove alla fine l'ha spuntata proprio Conegliano chi esce incredibilmente perdente è la Rai che non trova di meglio che interrompere la diretta (nonostante abbia due canali dedicati allo sport a trasmettere repliche...)ignorando la premiazione e non facendo nemmeno una mezza intervista. I have been waiting for this for a long time. It can be seen that Vakifbank has paid a huge effort to this match, especially the middle blockers. The team has obviously speeded up their tempo to confront with conegliano. Wolosz short ball just above the net. It is hard to defend as Hill will make trouble to the blocker’s hand easily if their gesture is not right enough. But milena rasic had done a great job in this match, slowing down some down balls during a rally. Zehra Gunes spiking and Isabelle Haak to battle with Paola egonu. Two strong teams made up a wonderful five set match. Gabi did well also by making use of blocker’s hand to make damage touch. But Isabelle Haak should make less mistake so as to become the star of the match, otherwise Egonu will dominate the court by her inherited jumping to different ethnic culture. Haak is still young and should have a mature mind to attract the audience. Keep it up!

It was really a close game, Vakifbank almost got it during the 4th set. Unfortunately, it is extended and based on these highlights it seems like Haak did it but she only produced 5 errors, it’s just, really bad timing.

Two things. One is unfortunately Maya and the major problem for Vakifbank. She was disappointing at times. They lost to Novara last time because she set the ball always to Zhu Ting. I mean come on. At one point she will be stopped! She did the same mistake at this match with Isabella Haak. Why do you always set the ball to her? She is also a human and she was totally tired. Another problem was the setting of the returning balls. The quality of setting for returning balls were very bad. Imoco however set the returning balls very well. Haak didnt get the same quality of balls that Egonu got. Please do not be afraid of setting the ball equally to all attackers. Else you will get blocked. If you have problems with such simple rule then go get yourself educated. I think the Guidetti was good, Especially I liked Gabi. She did her best. The best contributer according to her capabilities. Haak was also good. Zehra could have done much better but this also has to do with the setter. Michelle was also good enough. The libero was also okay. The system started not to work properly for Vakifbank after the second set. They had panic when the ball returned. They tried to quickly set the ball and the ball was set mostly behind the attacker and this prevented the attacker to kill the ball. This happened many times and no warning even from the coach.. Middle was hanging mostly.. You should have used the middle!! I still think that if the setters of both teams were exchanged, Vakif would definitely win. But whether Cansu could save the match? I have doubts about that..
