Good morning Nan ☀ Great video. I want to thank you for your inspiration. I have been drinking green smoothies for over 5 years. And while I feel so much better, my arthritis in my left thumb has gotten worse to the point I was going to see an orthopedic surgeon. I decided to measure out my raw veggies to make sure I got 1.5 pounds of raw veggies of which 1 pound is cruciferous. I also didn't realize I was not getting enough water. Just by increasing the cruciferous and water, my pain has gone from 7/10 to 2/10. I am soooo happy. Love you 😘 Have a blessed day 🙏

yes Tony, completely pain-free after four weeks on the Goodbye Lupus protocol. I’m now 10 weeks in, having stepped down at the end of six weeks, from high raw, to hyper nourishment and some cooked vegetables as well as greens and beans. I hope that’s helpful.

Thanks. I have been HN since March 2024 (WFPB since 2014 and did green juicing everyday from 2008 until 2020 when I knew that my gut was really healthy) and did the full protocol during the month of August. I plan on doing the full protocol again during February. On HN I eat raw broccoli and cauliflower (1/4 ib each) with guac which I eat in the morning (like Chef AJ I love eating/chewing food) and the smoothie with a 1/4 ib each of kale or spinach and a 1/4 lb. red cabbage, 1/2 cup of chia and flax and for fruit usually mango, blueberries and strawberries. When I remember, I add cranberry powder, turmeric, ginger and black pepper. It works. 3.5 liters of water a day. I am exactly the same age as you Nan and eating like this takes the stress out of getting older as I know I am doing the best I can no matter what happens. 🙂

Hi Nan! This made me LOL! You’ve, literally, had the very same experience as me at the end of last week! I’m not totally certain, but I was using chard and spinach from a local grower, with long stalks. Maybe the stalks were too fibrous, or something, because my 2004 Vitamix Stopped. Dead. We were about to order another when I discovered what looked like a safety switch (like a breaker?) at the base. We teased it back out and it’s been fine. It’s the first time we’ve had an issue after 20 years 😃 Great video as usual too! ☺️🌸🙏

Thanks losttheplotat60! I failed to say in this demonstration, that when this originally happened, it was the cap of the cover that had fallen into the blender, unbeknownst to me until I removed everything. What an amazing machine that everything worked fine afterward. 😂 Thanks for connecting 🌻🥰🌻

Then there's peoples that's comes out perfectly clean and perfectly sweet and so easy. no not Always it doesn't always come out like that. Don't get discouraged keep making it. Don't push down so hard when you first put it in the blender.

Good idea! What I missed saying in the video was that the reason it didn’t work was that the cap of the cover had fallen into the blender and without realizing it I filled it with the ingredients. I only realized it when I took everything out😂. Fortunately, it didn’t ruin the blender or the cap. It actually gave me a good excuse to do this interesting demonstration.🌻🥰🌻

Beautiful smoothie. Love the color. I am not on hyper nourishment and have a ton of frozen kale/chard from my garden. I know the protocol calls for fresh, but I use what I have. Many times I don't feel like a full blender, so just make a smaller size smoothie with my frozen greens, 1/2 banana, almond milk and water. I is still pretty green though. Still eat a giant cruciferous salad for dinner. Do you have a link for that silicone tip straw you are using?

Thank you for your helpful information. Is it possible to drink vegetable juice without any fruit? According to the Godby Lupus Protocol, it is recommended to use 25% fruit and 75% vegetables. My question is: can we drink juice made of 100% leafy and cruciferous vegetables (like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage)?
@k.h.699120 күн бұрын
That's better than not getting the veggies in, but you're missing out on fiber when you juice instead of blend. I don't think the lack of fruit is a big deal, though the absorption of iron may be low because of lack of vitamin c.

Good question. “By volume” mean by visible measure, not by weight. Fill the first 3/4 of the carafe with veggies, packed in well, then add 1/4 fruit. I go for 1lb veggies, and the fruit I add weighs about that, or a bit more. I hope this helps.🌻🥰🌻

It looked to me like you started it on hi instead of low (couldn’t tell if that was the case). When I have that sound it is because I started it at too high a number. Once I start it on 1 it starts to break up the stuff at the bottom and eventually the rest as I start raising the number to a higher number.
@NanSimonsen17 күн бұрын
Thanks for your thoughts Marie!Actually, the demonstration I was doing for this video was simply to show what had happened before. I typically, as I did in this one, start at about two or three, and then I crank it up. When it actually happened, I found that it was the cap that it fallen into the carafe that caused hypnotic work. I was lucky that it didn’t break anything, and all work well when I put everything back in. It was good to hear from you 🌻🥰🌻
