These things happen at mausoleums. I know we want to believe every business and institution is perfect, but only as perfect as the individuals working there. I’m sure Lamont’s video helped speed up the process but I guarantee it wouldn’t have stayed like that too long. The caskets interred in mausoleum’s eventually rust or rot out the bottom. The fluids sealed inside leak out and that’s what we saw in the video. The vault is supposed to be angled back so fluids run away from the public viewing areas and is to run down a drain in the back of the vault. As the casket degrades and fails pieces can block the slope like a dam……. Sorry for the disgusting visual but now you know, this isn’t a bad cemetery. Just an embarrassing failure.

Yes, and people are charged quite large sums to have someone be placed in a cemetery. I couldn't believe how much my parents paid for a wall spot for when they both need it. It was over $15,000 AU each. I remember being told how places that were more convenient to approach and see (eye level, etc) are at a premium. I guess it makes sense because a business will put a price on what people will value, yet it really gives a nasty money grabbing impression. Then all the time, it's emphasised how much they care about those passed and their families. Can't help thinking it their bank accounts they really have a deep interest in! I understand it's a service and business, and that it is how some earn a living to take care of themselves and family. In that case, don't be so vocal about the care you feel. Just be professional and don't insult people's intelligence. (Can you tell I've made it clear I want the simplest service and items used along with the least expensive cremation?😅)

@@loretta_3843 My husband and I will be married 35 years next month. In our home, we have a shelving unit with glass doors that has the urns and pictures of all our pets who have died over the years. My husband and I also want cremation when we die. I told him if he goes first, I'll lovingly place his urn on the center shelf, nestled in between our pets, lol.

I thought bodies were drained of all their fluids before burial? I don’t know why they would leave that nasty fluids on the ground because a child could have come with family to visit a loved one’s grave and it would’ve traumatized that child let alone the adults! Some one failed miserably in their job. I had a friend die of brain cancer back in the early 1990’s and I was told the grave thst is in the ground holds at least 4 caskets of people who can’t afford a plot of their own. That is freaky to me

This. I tell my family to just dig a hole in the back yard, wrap me in a dirty sheet, and throw me in, lol. Seriously though, it IS a huge waste. Plus, I don't want to end up in some old, forgotten, crumbling mausoleum or overgrown cemetery. I've already told my loved ones, if anything happens to me, just cremate me and sprinkle me somewhere I'd be happy. That way I can be one with nature from the start, the way the Good Lord intended, and my family (husband) can use the money they would've spent on a casket, vault, burial plot etc., to take care of themselves (my son).

I searched William Grey Shook and he was 12, self inflicted gunshot. He was taking MEDICATION for depression and was on a camping trip with body scouts and his grandfather was a chaperone. He was right near his scout mates and did it shortly after they pitched their tent. He swiped the gun from grandma n grandpa. Incredibly heartbreaking. Guys please even if your teen has depression please understand the risks that MEDICATION sometimes has and actually makes things worse. Suicidal ideation is a common side effect! Im so sorry little guy, for his family and the trauma his death caused to his scout mates and his grandparents and parents. He loved cats, played video games... he sounds just like my son. 😢😢😢

10:16 According to Las Vegas Review Journal, "Marlo Thomas, 42, stabbed to death in 1996 two employees at a restaurant where he had lost his job as a dishwasher, Carl Dixon, 23, of North Las Vegas and Matthew Gianakis, 21, of Las Vegas." Marlo Thomas was convicted in 1997 and given the death penalty for multiple felony offenses of robbing a restaurant and stabbing two employees to death. In 2021, his convictions and sentences were upheld on appeal. He was granted a new penalty hearing in a postconviction proceeding but was again sentenced to death for each murder. Those sentences were affirmed on appeal and upheld after a postconviction challenge. This appeal follows the denial of Thomas’ third postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus.

In the months after my dad died in 1996, there were several times I'd end up at the cemetery in the middle of the night, crying my eyes out at his grave site. I was 26 when he died. I remember when you first uploaded the first video of this. That was pretty disturbing that they left it like that even long enough for you to film it but I’m glad that they cleaned it up. I would feel terrible for anyone who had a family member in a mausoleum like that and walk up to find that. That would be something burned in their memory forever. Thanks for the update video. I’ve been watching your videos for about 3-4 years now and I enjoy watching them but I don’t comment very often.

For cleanup after a body spill like that, we use our equivalent of your Clorox, which really kills enough bacteria as advertised, and is recommended, as one of the stronger disinfecting agents in our industry. Those stains look like bleach damage to me. Wonder if they took proper care of the remains as well, after seeing your video. Greetings from the Polish Cemetery.

When we were preparing for my moms funeral, we made sure she was buried in a stainless steel, airtight casket. The wooden ones do not last.

Neither do those. The vault collects groundwater, the seals decay. There's a lot of high dollar scamming in caskets/funerals.

@@naelyneurkopfen9741 In the end, does it it really matter? The person isn't there. They are in either heaven or hell. That body is just the shell of who they were. My mom is dead as of September from double cancer and we got her the most durable of caskets. She is in Heaven and she has no cares of this world. She beat cancer!!

I wish not to be embalmed and buried in a wooden casket. No matter what we are all going to end up the same way. My soul is the important thing!

@@holliecollier1523 That's nice and you are free to choose what you want. Word of advice though! You better have a funeral or viewing within a day or 2 after you die or you will smell pretty bad because the body gives off a gas called putrizine. Embalming preserves the body for viewing if a funeral and viewing cannot be scheduled until a week later. It puts the color back in the skin and helps the body look normal in addition to slowing down the process of decay and reducing odor. The color in the body looks better not gray or pale with the face sunken in. My mom appeared to look as if she was just sleeping. Her color was very nice. She looked even better than while she was alive and suffering with cancer. She looked so beautiful. That will be a lasting memory for us. However you want your remains to be cared for is up to you.

Man, I find this gross. I don’t know why anyone would want to build these vaults to store dead carcass in. Just think about it…. It’s unnatural & nasty. Put those bodies in the ground and back into nature. The soul ain’t there no more, it’s an empty carcass. I’ll never understand why we do this…. And yes, I’ve lost loved ones and we have lost children in our family to illnesses & cancer, 20 year old to war, and so on….. Would never fill their body with formaldehyde & preserve it.

This is a tradition we need to stop doing…. Start using these bodies to plant trees and nature, would much rather memorialize & visit a loved ones tree than to visit these creepy vaults. We aren’t Egyptian Pharaohs.

While I agree the cemetery should have noticed that and cleaned it up, I would think whoever embalmed the person is where the failure was. They have to plug up every bodily orifice. 😩

instead of power washing the entire walkway they do one little spot to clean it and leave the rest of the walkway looking like shit.

I've seen many of these where the roofs are leaking as most are flat roofs and they leak all the way through on the edges as where those are leaking...not to say it isn't also embalming fluid.
