I had the same thing happen with my RS1. My wife put it on it's side on memorial day 2019. I was told the frame was on back order and they (polaris dealer I purchased from) submitted a VDO (vehicle down order) a few days later I heard back from the dealership, there are no frames available they are on backorder, but we expect to have 1 for you by September 25 2019. Not sure when it actually came in but I picked my machine up October 25th. It's out of your hands now, all you can do is wait. It sucks but it is what it is. If they are replacing the roll cage which they should. You might consider upgrading it since they are paying to replace it anyway. My .02 pennies. Hope it all works out! Sucks not knowing when it will be ready for action again. Good luck!

there’s no way it has that much damage from a “3 mph” rollover

That’s what I thought too when it went over I thought ok no big deal don’t do that again and then it turned into an 11000 no parts to fix it nightmare
@gary30464 жыл бұрын
@@offroadfunz6094 Sorry, I'm not buying it. 3 mph is a brisk walking speed; IF you rolled it at walking speed (doubtful), it would not have done that much damage. As far as parts availability, yes it's maddening, but it's very common with a new model; it takes time for the parts supply chain to materialize. Greed? I don't know about that, but your point is well taken. The video is good in that it points out not only the parts availability (or lack thereof), but also the ridiculous pricing. But hey, that's no different than many vehicles on the market today. But 3 mph? Nope.

Spent five years as a technician with babbitts sport center near silver lake sand dunes, from my hands on experience from 2012-2017 the design and execution of the machines were greatly improved while the build quality went down hill at the same rate. Replacing all the ball joints and bushings due to excessive play, blown out wheel bearings, worn secondary clutches and smoked primaries, consistent wire harness repair for injectors and tmap sensors, front differential failures left and right all within 800-1500 miles is unacceptable. They have the market covered on performance and apparently in this world that’s all it takes to put up with the poor build quality. Bummer on the new unit being so fragile, I feel your pain man.

3 miles a hour? This is a new production so of course it is going to cost more to get parts but I don't see how a rollover, especially at 3 mph destroyed radiators or the frame. I just see plastic damage. Another question. Why do you roll over so many rzrs? We have had rzrs all the way back to the 800 and then 900, 1000xp, 1000xp turbo dynamix, and now the 2020 Ultimate. We have never rolled one ever. Just turn into your insurance company and get it paid for and get something else. Of course you can't get parts when it is a new model and still in production and high demand. We love ours by the way. Much beefier suspension and a great ride so far.

I know, I especially agree when it come to the exterior pieces, I had to pull the top door mount over 2 inches and the hinge had to be adjusted as well from a light roll over. I had similar issues with Polaris help phone, my 2015 sportsman 1000xp kept catching stuff on fire, debris collecting on the muffler caught fire numerous times, the fenders caught fire from the muffler, then the front differential input bearing plate exploded, then voltage regulator catches fire, then 3 more after the first voltage regulator caught fire, so most I've seen outta Polaris is a heat sheild update kit, that's the only thing Polaris has done with all my bikes issues, oh wait, it also spits out brake pads,, ya that's safe right. Polaris has the right price, awesome machines with all the bling and fancy features you could ever ask for... BUT.... they dont build quality products and they DONT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY BUILD. If you get hurt they're only concern is if there's gonna be a lawsuit. I'm in the market for a new high end snowmobile and I really like what Polaris offers, but I know I'd be even more STUPID to buy another Polaris. YAMAHA OR SKIDOO OR IM WALKING, FUCK IT.

@YOSHI450R4 жыл бұрын
@@offroadfunz6094 you liked the old RZR, it had the same issues it's first year, No parts available. I work for a company that builds/supplies parts for the snowmobile industry. Every manufacturer has issues the first year it doesn't matter if it's a toy or the truck you haul it with. Maybe for your next toy you should wrap it with an exoskeleton. I worked for Polaris a few years ago my mom worked for them for over 20 years my sister welded frames for Polaris for almost a decade. When I seen the new design I said that it's going to be expensive if you lay it over. The plastic just sits out to far. I agree that quality has gone down but not drastically unless you're machine came from the mexico plant which has more bad machines than good ones come out of it. Polaris is extremely understaffed and it's a race to keep up with demand every time a new model comes out that's why you wait, it's not just Polaris that has that issue, everyone does. I grew up with Yamaha and Ski-doo primarily. I've seen issues with every brand. I know multiple test engineers for Polaris and they beat on everything from every manufacturer they all have issues you pick what you like and hope you get lucky and don't crash them. Me personally I'd buy a Kawasaki krx if you want the strongest chassis. They overbuilt it. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the talon I looked at. It could have been a bad one but I wouldn't expect the chassis to last with hard riding and the front a-arms are trash.

Knallkoper Morder it’s because of people like you making excuses and accepting lousy business practices that we have lousy products and lousy customer service as long as people accept terrible products and no product support why would these arrogant billion dollar companies bother to care you’re either part of the solution or part of the problem you sir are not part of the solution
@YOSHI450R4 жыл бұрын
@@offroadfunz6094 I didnt make an excuse, I just understand the business field I work in. When a new product launches there's not an over abundance of spare parts because the parts are being made on demand. We don't build 200,000 of the same part and sit on it in a warehouse like companies used to, (that destroyed thousands of companies) we run a day or two ahead of the plant it saves the companies and the consumer's money. As for reliability of new products, Polaris dumps thousands of hours into testing before the products get released to the market. that's 10's of millions of dollars into a machine that may very well flop in sales. The amount spent on products that get r&d'd and tested and never get used pushes that number exponentially higher. If you want a machine to be released with an extra two years of working out every issue that machines price is going to triple or the company will go belly up. It'd be nice to buy a machine that's perfect from day 1 but how many people could afford to buy it... Not enough to keep the company in business. Do you know why Polaris has been buying up every company they can? It's because they need the income from other areas with better profit margins. Do you know what happened to Polaris and Arctic Cat when they didn't diversify the company they got bought out by Textron luckily for Polaris the employee's bought the company back after Textron ran it into the ground completely, and they launched the Indy line and the company exploded then it was going down again until the sxs boom happened. We all want a perfect product from day 1 as a consumer but it's just not possible, look at the auto industry you want the best car built to the highest standard you're paying over 1mil. And the companies the build those cars are owned by huge diversified companies or they make very limited numbers and Jack the price up two to three times that to keep their companies afloat. Polaris Honda and Yamaha are big enough that they in theory could release that RZR at 95% but it would probably cost 80k+ and they could only make a certain amount a year. Most new machines are released around 85% because the consumer's buying which feeds the company and figuring out the last few bugs doesn't cost the companies as much, that is why machines get recalled and fixed at the companies expense which doesn't hurt you as the consumer it hurts the company and every employee who has to put in 6-7 day a week shifts as they watch their yearly bonus shrink.
@offroadfunz60944 жыл бұрын
Knallkoper Morder still sounds like excuses to me I can assure you that if the resources that Polaris has were afforded to me I would most certainly build a better product with better support they quite simply choose to short change their customers

Just don’t buy new models or special editions that haven’t been out for a long time. My buddy bought a brand new Ford Focus RS when they first came out and in the first two months of owning it, he took a tire to the grill on the highway. Well his car ended up being in the shop for 8 months because the car was so new they couldn’t get a front bumper, and this is Ford motor company! I doubt it’s greed, just how things are in manufacturing.
