Thanks to all the talented Cast Members! So, SO happy the show is back ..... BUT ..... it just isn't the same without the Tumble monkeys and aerials!! I hope Disney will again restore it to the original SPECTACULAR performance VERY soon!! Thanks again Cast Members!!!!

Awesome show! Combine this video with PCDev's for another angle and some close-ups, and you can get a real feel for the majesty and energy! I'm impressed with how much they've been able to adapt to physical distancing, and look forward to when other elements can be added back in without compromising the safety of these wonderful cast members. I'm glad they didn't wait to bring shows back, much better to get the spectacle and music now!

I’m crying because I’m so happy. This is a sign that life is returning to “normal” (whatever that is gonna be). I know it isn’t the full show. But it’s a start. Now we need the tumble monkeys and the flying birds back. Next, they could do Nemo with the puppeteers spread out.

So happy show is back but I'm sad that my 2 favorite parts, the tumble monkeys and the flying part of the birds (that always made me cry for some reason), didnt make it back. Hoping that someday Disney will restore the whole show.

I’m so glad they’re starting to bring back their live entertainment as much as they can!!! Disney just isn’t Disney without the entertainment. Did they cut down the number of ensemble members? I can’t tell if it’s just the angle making it look like there’s more space on the floor, or if it actually is a smaller ensemble

@@carminecdinoproductions you don’t know what cast members have to go through just to put on a show. They haven’t been able to work for months and this is their first time performing in about a year. The new social distancing isn’t glamorous but at least they are able to put on a show for the guests

Nice to see some clean choreography (prior to closing the show had become a hot mess), sad that it's only about a third of the original number of cast members, and like the rest of you I am lamenting the loss of the tumble monkeys and the birds' pas de deux with flight. This was like seeing an old friend that looks better in some ways, and worse in others...still, glad it's back. ❤️

Other than the four monkeys, it’s only missing two people. There used to be ten players and now there’s eight. PreCovid it would regularly perform with eight due to scheduling issues. It just looks smaller because they took out all the ground seating.

I wonder if the birds will be ariel by the time is officially opens on May 15. This was just a soft opening. I don’t understand why they WOULDN’T be. And the monkeys are missed. This isn’t something I think my kids would really enjoy anymore. But I probably still would.

I think this is how it’s going to be. The birds choreography made them keep distance , and if they brought back their aerial routine they wouldn’t be able to social distance. The entire cast was pretty spread out. Which is good! It’s bringing back theatre while still keeping the performers safe 💖

Kind of sad. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hopefully as vaccination rates go up, people can stop living in fear of judgement of others. I’d rather them slap a couple masks on the dancers and have them go ariel then not at all. Seems silly.

@@sbryson4 knowing Disney they’ve probably got rules for the performers backstage, but either way it doesn’t matter, what matters to Disney is what happens onstage. Because if they put actors in close contact with each other onstage and one of those actors gets Covid, Disney’s liable. But if they keep everything social distanced onstage, if an actor gets covid it’s not Disney’s fault

We lived for YEARS with other diseases and viruses that killed people if someone got it (especially the vulnerable) and yet no one cared. Now businesses have to put on this huge show for fear of being ostracized. It’s complete insanity. But I understand it is what it is. I wear my mask if asked. I got vaccinated. But it’s all still so crazy to me.

This is a lot more serious than what performers are normally at risk for onstage, so I’m very glad that Disney is taking this as seriously as they are and keeping everyone socially distanced

Personally, I will be avoiding this unless and until something resembling the full show is back. It's just not enough, and I would rather keep intact my memories of the real thing, without clouding them over by this. It's like when a favorite song is bastardized for use in a commercial, and it's frequent repetition messes with your enjoyment of the actual song.

This is as close to the full show as they are able to get with the current safety protocols. Weeks of hard work was put into this to ensure that it can be performed safely. It's a start in the right direction. We should be grateful for that.
