He decided to not just kill the big red one who not just went along with the oppressors, but enjoyed having his cruel fun as an overseer and needlessly killed his friend out of pure egotism. He wanted to bestow a much crueler fate on him and he knew exactly what he did when he lead the enemy to this hidden paradise. Like in 'taste your own medicine'. The hint that removes any doubts about this is in the title. 'Ouroboros' is the mythical snake that eats its own tail. Usually it is seen as a symbol for the eternal circle of life, but it can be a metaphor for any self-creating and -sustaining cylce, in this case, a vicious one.

meat slaves are easier to maintain, water and calories instead of expensive maintenance of high tec robots that would probably malfunction because of sensitive parts to dust or just because a robot can't be programmed to improvise or notice details. No matter how smart the robots, they are only meant for work in sterile well controled enviroments like factories. If you make a human carry rocks on a 10km road he will do it without failure for 20 years, make a robot do it for 10 days you will have accidents or errors

@@InvasionAnimation after rewatching it I realized first off they force their way onto the speeder which the driver seemed ok with them catching a ride out of there. Except instead of letting him drive he forces him to instead cross over the frozen lake (or whatever it is) and a scuffle broke out. At which point he knocks him in the face and he falls off. His friend didn't even go back for him? Was it instant death? Maybe they should have just let him drive them to safety? Why am I even wasting my time on this? Boredom I guess lol.
