Love that Irlene was on too. I’m old enough to remember the Mandrell sisters’ show and remember Irlene and her talents. So good to hear her tell about how she has been a part of music history. Grateful that Christina is sharing her family with us.

What a treat! As someone who fell in love with all things Nashville and country music after visiting the Barbara Mandrell museum in the late 80s, this was so wonderful to watch! They are both so lovely. What an awesome family!

I would have listened for Christina, but having Barbara on and listening to music history…..amazing. Thanks Dave, Christina & Barbara. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

That’s not Barbara! That’s Barbara’s sister Irlene! Irlene is Christina’s mother, so Barbara is her Auntie!

This was great! My grandpa was clinically dead I think 7 minutes...maybe longer, resuscitation efforts had stopped...& he was brought back. His heart just re-started. He had a supernatural heaven or near so experience but could never fully share it b/c it made him so emotional. And that was a time that men being emotional wasn't as accepted so I guess that's partly why he'd never fully shared the experience.

This was so fun!! Great to see Irlene, too! So fun she was a cornfield girl on HeeHaw. I’m pretty sure I remember which one she was! 😂 Also great getting to know Christina even better! ❤

I loved this! ❤️ The Mandrell family is obviously iconic and it’s so interesting to hear the types of family stories etc. one doesn’t normally get to hear and in a more relaxed conversation setting. Irlene is delightful! And I’ve wanted to be Christina’s friend since watching her on the Bachelor haha - she’s so warm and has the best sense of humor 🙂 She’s carrying on the family’s performance tradition with her reels - they’re seriously next-level brilliant! They’re like an art form all their own! 🙌 I’m glad y’all have become friends! Good people gravitating to good people 🙂

Dave, you didn't know who legendary comedian Phyllis Diller or Bob Hope was?

I think the long form is great for this format. But when people do gossip KZbin podcasts, I think more than 10 minutes is pushing it. Kristina‘s mom was so interesting. I would’ve loved to hear the last portion where she had the people return from the dead. It’s too bad you had to end it there. I was trying to figure out why Irene’s Starbucks’ order went back to Kristina to hold. Was that for your wife? One last piece of advice, please don’t take this with criticism it’s meant to help you. But with country royalty like you had in the car, time to get a haircut, shave, and upscale your wardrobe it can still be casual, but not shorts- at least longer shorts- if you need to, and a linen top that’s buttoned one button up and maybe a better color. Navy blue is really your color. You remind me of a younger Tom Cruise and you have the looks to pull anything off. I think a slightly shorter haircut would actually suit you. I’m one of your OG followers, so I always want you to succeed.❤

Judge much? This is criticism. No other way to say it. Dave, be you. Don't need to change for anyone.

This comment is so crazy, I have secondhand embarrassment for you. It’s interesting that you claim to be an “og follower”, yet have never left comments on this channel before…

you do know that Dave has been a little busy? Baby at home and trying to keep us entertained. I love that he’s so casual. Just out for a drive.
@plumsmom80434 ай бұрын
Dave has built a loyal following so he must be doing something right. The whole point of driving with Dave is to be casual and real. Nothing more real than a friend and her Mom hanging out with a comedian, creator, and new Dad!

@@alexp2915 You have a right to your opinion, but when you attack my comment, I have to reply. First of all, I don’t need your secondhand embarrassment. And your claim that you haven’t seen my comment means that I’m not an OG follower of Dave’s. First of all, he has several iterations of his podcast, lives, and other formats and he also has many different channels. So please inform yourself before you start accusing people by making spurious claims that aren’t backed up by fact. Secondly, when you use something that doesn’t support your argument in trying to tear somebody else down.
