In this conversation, Karyn and I talk about the stakes in a story - why they are important, the importance of having external and internal stakes, and how to know if your story's stakes are strong enough to keep the reader turning the pages.
Karyn is an Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach and a former children's book and YA literary agent with BookStop Literary Agency. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing, and writes middle grade and young adult fiction. She started Story & Prose Book Coaching and Editorial Services in 2021 with the goal of helping more writers.
