Hey Samantha! I recommend you try different things for your finger when crocheting to make sure you find what works best for you. I've tried different styles of crocheting rings, paper tape, the sleeves you use for corns on your toes, band aids, and finally I've found kinesiology tape works best for me. I cut it in strips to cover what I need and it peels off easily and works for me. Good Luck! Also, for you to be a newbie crocheter, you're doing an AWESOME JOB!

Omg it’s so silly and small but you HAVE to go to the strawberry festival outside of tampa! It’s so cute and u can get TONS of strawberries in pallets for so cheap. U can wash and freeze them and they’ll last for months. You have to get strawberry short cake and a strawberry milkshake hehe it super small but so cute. It’s pretty busy but if u go on a week day it should be slower. I think you can buy tix online or back in the day you could buy tix at any tampa/ st.Pete Publix ❤🍓🍰. I use KT athletic tape to protect the spots that I’m prone to callousing from crochet. You can cut it to the size you need.

Congratulations on seeing the 250’s!! Proud of you! We can definitely tell a difference. I’m trying to lose weight too. I’m down 20 lbs so far and I don’t feel like you can tell. Maybe a bit in my face but meh…still have a long ways to go. I gained 60 lbs after back surgery. I’m also 5’1.5” and 60 extra pounds makes so much difference on our frame as opposed to someone taller. Also, there’s these finger guards for crocheting or crafting. Some slip on, others are little sticker things. Hope that helps. ❤❤❤

Sam I totally relate when you talk about not noticing your weight loss when you look at your body. I recently lost 40 pounds (220 to 180) and when I look at my body in the mirror I cannot tell the difference. People tell me that they can tell but the only way I know that my body is smaller is because I went down a pant size and I can fit into large shirts now. I just thought I would share so you know that you're not alone in that and it is totally normal to feel that way. We are so much more than our weight. Ofcourse it’s healthier to be lighter, but it doesn’t mean we can’t get there. Omg I feel that!!! I lost a little over 100 pounds in the last year and a half and I still see myself as what I was before and I keep buying bigger clothes. I got an extra large/large and it was big went back and tried on a medium/small and it fit perfect. Crazy I don’t see the changes but I definitely feel them

Flour won’t thicken until it comes to a boil. And you never want to boil anything with cheese it will curdle. You could take some of the liquid out and thicken it in the stove with flour, then add it back or just use corn starch next time.
