MY GOD!! Brother Mike, my husband introduced me to your video about the role of the husband a little over a month ago, and I have been blessed by your teachings since. THIS VIDEO, however, touched me in a way that no other has. I've been in prayer and consecration about changes taking place in my life, so the timing and the relevance of this message are SPOT ON!!! May God continue to bless you and your family, and may your every endeavor for God's kingdom bring glory to Jesus Christ!! -Amen

1. Look back on where you have been and ask what has been going on 2. Evaluate your responsibilities. What are your biggest responsibilities right now not desires? Fulfil responsibilites rather than desires. 3. Take a look at yourself. Think about what you have done with what you have. Get a Godly view of who you are. What are you blind to about your own life? 4. Areas to consider? * Godliness- should be the priority. * Relationship- Friends, family, collegue. Ask God if you are fulfilling your calling? * Responsibilities- the things you wrote down earlier. 5. Don't make new years resolutions. Make goals instead. 6. The goal should be higher. A selfless ambition. 7. Set practical steps to your goals. Be better at solutions than excuses. If your goal is to loose weight and you don't exercise, change the system. Change the type or time of exercise to sth you enjoy.

Practical stuff, thanks for sharing. You have a very positive presentation style. One of our Home Group leaders found this in Jan 2021 and we're going to use this to guide some discussion for the coming year. Timely given all that is transpiring. We're going to add an 8th, Committing these things to prayer. Remain steadfast as we see the Day of the Lord Approaching.

#7 is a good addittion! Imagine being a person who prays to God for something specific but sits back idly expecting God to do all of the work himself. What faith are you displaying in doing that? Not a very good one. Pray, then take practical steps to accomplish this desire! God isn't a genie, you and him are a team, AMEN!?

"26 And I have declared to them thy name, and will declare it: that the love with which thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them." (Joh 17) Many people think that "the name" is a simple "word" but, if you understand the verse here you'll see that is "stands for" the character, the personality. And this is a lot easier to those who saw Yeshua, Jesus, to pray like that to understand because the hebrew word for "name" is SHEM - and it means CHARACTER, "the person, himself, per se".

"Are you christian-ish?" :D That probably made me laugh because it would hurt too much to admit otherwise. For a few years, practically my first years of adulthood, I've spent less and less time on seeking God's will to become a reality. Thank you for sharing your tips! I know what to do now!! :)

Thanks Mike. My family and I in PA have been blessed by your ministry for years. We were recently in a transition and looking for a solid biblical church, and we are happy to say we found one just down the road. Turns out it is a Calvary Chapel church. Got really excited when I made the connection. I look forward to this new year of learning with you. How can we find out about when your livestreams will be taking place?

Thanks for sharing this with me Chris, it really encourages me! I'm glad you all found a good fellowship to be part of, it's an immeasurable blessing. I'm really not sure what my schedule for live-streaming will be but I think I'll do it once a week in the coming year and that it will be on the same day and time each week. I think that the next live-stream I do I will announce those details so that everyone will know ahead of time in the future.

Be encouraged my friend. I say these things not as an uneducated fanboy of your work, But as a brother in Christ, with a degree from Moody Bible Institute in pastoral ministry. I obviously don't know you personally, but I can say that you rightly and faithfully preach the word. Our kind is a dying breed. Keep the faith my friend, keep pressing forward in your gift and calling.

That means a lot to me brother! I'm working on a site that will contain my studies and my notes for free download and I'm really hoping to try to influence how other pastors teach. I appreciate your prayers for wisdom and skill in setting it all up.

That sounds great. If you need a hand, let me know. I have some computer knowledge. I am particularly interested in some of your research methodology, like how you go about researching certain topics (for example, your messages on biblical prophecy), so having a place devoted to your sermon notes and sources would be a worthwhile endeavor. I'll keep you in prayer for this, along with the rest of your ministry.

Hey Mike Winger! You should share your thoughts on a church called the International Christian Church, or the less radical version International Church of Christ. And what do you think of baptismal regeneration? Future topic maybe? :D

Sir i know this is bit off topic but i just wanna know what can you say about other person saying jesus is a pagan name and the right name is yashua or yahua or something?
@JLeppert
@JLeppert 6 жыл бұрын
kenji kanzaki Jesus is the Greek name. Yeshua would have been His Hebrew name. The direct English translation of Jesus Hebrew name is actually Joshua. Jesus isn't pagan, it's just the Greek (might be Latin actually).
@kenjikanzaki6802
@kenjikanzaki6802 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that very informative answer sir, but my friend told me to better to use YESHUA rather than JESUS he said because YESHUA has a deeper meaning and JESUS does not carry it.? :(
@JLeppert
@JLeppert 6 жыл бұрын
yeshua is definitely more correct. It was also an extremely common name back then. But all Hebrew names had a meaning. Use that if you'd prefer. I do depending on my audience.
@MikeWinger
@MikeWinger 6 жыл бұрын
It's true that Jesus' name was pronounced as Yashua but I think it's silly to think that God is so concerned about pronunciation. If God cared that we pronounce Jesus' name a certain way then He would have had the New Testament written in Hebrew instead of Greek. You see, the original New Testament, which was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Jesus' name is recorded as Iesus (pronounced "ee-eh-soos"). So, if it was important to God that we pronounce Jesus' name in a particular way then why wasn't it written that way? I think this is a compelling reason to reject someone who claims that "Jesus" is a pagan pronunciation. There is no such thing as a pagan pronunciation, names are all pronounced differently around the world and God knows who you are talking about.
