I love this simple lure. I used to use pearl mylar a lot years ago but got taken in by newer materials. Will definately tie this one and use it for the rst of the season.

Since UNI yarn come in other colors, in addition to your pearl-red version seems you could also make pearl-chartreuse, pearl-gray and many other attractive color combination versions. Ever try? Of course they would need alternate names.

I just found your nice channel, thanks for a great video! I am just starting out coastal trout fly fishing and sorry for a maybe very stupid newbie question, but how do you fish this fly, -with a floating line or sinking (since fly is not weighted)? I am trying to find info. but hard to get started…

There are no stupid questions! You can fish it with both lines. The hook will pull it down along with the leader. You can add a few turns of nonlead wire to give it some more weight. Beadchain also. 😊

Coastfly.....does this fly have any movement or is it basically just profile that makes it appealing? I love the colors and the way it looks. It's funny how some of the simplist fly's are so deadly.

Well the long flash strands Will move in the water but not as Much as craft fur for example. Yeah you Can only wonder about what triggers the fish out there. 😅
