Can'y say often enough how much I enjoy watching you tie your patterns. It's almost as much fun as tying them myself. For me this pattern will be great for pan fish { bluegill, crappie, and even bass} in the ponds, creeks, and lakes around me. Thanks!

Hey Coastfly. I can’t keep up with your video posts! But I’m trying. Man you love that that UV resin, I use it a bit more sparingly. It smells bad and I believe some fish may be sensitive to it as well. My deck project turned out very nicely and I’m shifting back into fishing mode - after installing a new dishwasher. Retirement can be busier than working. C u next time… cool fly btw

I absolutely love uv resin. The heads I make are usually hollow so it might seem like a lot but in reality it actually isn’t. 😅 solarez doesn’t smell nor does it get tacky. For the smelly and tacky types you can use rubbing alcohol to clean that right of or just let them sit in the sun for a day or so. I’ve had feathers that smell worse than any resin and the fish will still eat the fly.
@tomt51763 ай бұрын
@@Coastfly I use Solarez too. It still smells bad but not as bad as other resins. As for tying, I’ve been at it for over 30 years and still learning new patterns, techniques and about other tiers too now thanks to KZbin! Have you tied any deer hair bugs that you can show to us?

@@tomt5176 i Can make some! I have done a muddler once or twice . 😅

@@Coastfly Some of the other European tiers love spinning and stacking deer hair. There’s talent everywhere to say the least and fly tying takes on a kind of language all its own. Make a practice run and let her rip! C u soon.

Beautiful fly , when you put a drop of uv resin on your finger to shape it , what consistency do you use? Thick, thin, or flexible ?
@Coastfly3 ай бұрын
I use thick. Rarely Will i use thin. As good as never.

@@Coastflyamen, brother. The music is way better than heavy breathing or rustling against the mic, which many tying videos feature.

Please don’t shoot me, I do enjoy watching, I watched to the end. To me you paid a lot of attention to the head which was fine…but I think that tail is not so good. Seemed to me it should have been trimmed. Ty
