Hey John. The 41 Willy's Gasser was my Favorite Car back in the 1960's. Your's Looks Great! I grew up here on the West Coast San Mateo County. I remember in 1968 on El Camino real a Candy Apple red all Steel 41 Willy's in the display window of a speed shop. I went inside and looked at it. it had black diamond tuck interior. The motor was a 426 Hemi with Dual quad Cups sticking out the hood. it had chrome straight front axle. it was for sale 10k. Over the years I had 100 Cars, corvette, two Model A's one restored original and one a Hot rod. I use to go all over calif and take pictures of " Vintage Tin" and send photo's to Street rod Magazine in which I have and issue from 1973 with old car pics I took. The stories I can tell with Cars I could of owned that are big dollars today. I walked up to a Garage that was open and inside was a 1942 Willy's Americar. The man sold it to me for 250 Dollars back in 1972. Original 4 dr. and rare. Ran great. While in the Marines at Mare island a drunk driver hit me and wiped the car out. Today have a beautiful Blue 1953 ford F-100 Street rod and a original 1937 chevy texaco Pickup truck. Runs great. They don't make them like old school. John, what's the name of that song your playing with your willy's? That's a Bad song that goes with your car. Name of the song Please! P.S. in 1970 I used to play and listen to " Get Ready" by Rare Earth, and dream of cruising in the 41 willy's.

@@jackroper8829 oh man that’s a cool story. I had a 39 Willys Overland 4 door. Cost a bunch more than yours did. The El Camino sounds awesome. The song is a song I wrote and recorded my friends’ band at my old house. It was called “Gasser Blues”. I wrote it about my ‘55. The engine, trans, center section, rear wheels and tires, and shifter are now in the Willys. The only difference was the ‘55 had a ladder bar rear.

@@easternhotrodder Thanks for getting back John. You did that song? Bad ass song as your willy's is. The world has changed since those great hotrod days. People now get upset over everything. You live in a nice area! I would say keep your willy's, but I do understand how priorities Change especially when getting older. I lived that West Coast California dreaming in the 1960's with the beach boys, drag racing, malt shops, surfing, hot weather, Chasing girls, all the corvettes, Z-28, Hemi Cuda's, Me driving a brand new silver 1969 Road Runner at 15 years old. All my friends had corvettes, 32 and 34 ford coupes, and 40 fords, all the tri five cars. Remember going with my dad and his friend Don in 1968 to a 1/4 mile round race track in a pearl white 57 chevy Belair which had a 327 4 speed, Black tuck and roll and American Mags. I felt on top of the world that day. Don Offered his mint 57 chevy to my Dad who was a police officer for 300 dollars. My dad passed on it. he was never into old cars! I thought if dad bought that 57 and me drive it at High school how cool that would be. Cars were my Life. I have Photo's signed to my Dad by Steve McQueen when he Filmed " BULLITT" in San Francisco in 1968 with the famous chase scene. The photo's signed at the S.F.P.D. at Hall of Justice. You remind me of old time friends, people that you can relate too! Your Willys is Super cool and wish you the best my friend. Thanks for Sharing. Jim

I ❤❤❤ this car, its even better than i thought it was, i think your crazy for selling it. send me a email with how much you want for it and some details ie if it has title and vin and what year etc its listed as ie build year etc so i can do some research on how much it will cost me to import and weather i can get it registered over here.
