Goodness gracious, how chill those old worlds were! It just shows that being aggressive or defensive isn't the real personality of these spiders. I love this channel because you don't provoke your spiders into threat poses and slaps to the ground. I do hate how some people (I refuse to call them keepers) will make their spiders get into those situations and then make people afraid of them, just for clicks and views. You show how the spider should react when treated with respect, because at the end of the day, the spiders just want to go hide like they naturally would in the wild, spiders aren't angry and they don't want to hunt you down. A little love, gentle care and food and water is all they want, not poking at them just for fun. I quit watching channels that provoke the animals needlessly. Love your channel and your spiders❤

Dito that, I do agree with you! 🕷❤👍 You should respect and treat them well and they aren't pets like dog and cats are but they are beautiful as well as precious in ther own way. So are our dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady too, we love them! 👋🥰👍

I'm always amazed at the emotional sensitivity and personalities of your spiders, neither of which you expect from invertebrates. To me, your handling of them is the epitome of what having animals "in subjection" means, understanding and using their behavior to control them. Far different from having them in captivity, which only requires force and confinement. Another great video about some gorgeous spiders. Again, too bad you don't see much of them.

I'm only commenting because this is your most recent video and your more likely to see it. I had a Pelinobius muticus, or king baboon, which was given to me by a boss many many years ago. At the time, I had extreme arachnophobia, but I'm also very old school and Sicilian so I could not refuse a gift. I fed it for about two to three years till it died, but every time I molted I kept it's shells and glued the thorax to the top of cute little boxes which I'd wrap gentle with a card reading "For great friend" and hand to people I knew. They jumped out of their skin and honestly I don't think I've hung out with any of them in well over a decade. Good times.

Another really interesting vid. I can’t have tarantulas but get my “fix” from watching you. Just an idea, have you and camera lady ever considered doing a bio’ post? . Basically your “spider journey.” How you first got interested in them and how it all progressed to where you are now? Did you meet camera lady cos of a shared interest? Do you keep other species (apart from your toads) or do you just specialise in spiders? What good times and bad times you’ve had with the hobby? Have you ever been tempted to pack it all in, if so, why? Have you ever been bitten? I really don’t mean intrusive personal stuff just your spider back story really. I’m sure it would be very interesting. 😁

I love you guys, your content is arguably the best on YT. It is not one of the best, it IS the best, but Dave can you please learn how to pronounce scientific names correctly. It is not that hard. When I studied English as my second language my English teacher explained to me how to learn even very complex English words easily. Let me share with you this technique: you start to learn the word backward starting with the last two three letters and keep repeating it adding a next letter. Let’s start: ius, bius, obius, nobius, inobius, linobius, elinobius and voila, pelinobius. So not Pterinochilus. 😊
