His childhood neighborhood looks more like the actual Edward Scissorhands screen used neighborhood than the actual one that remains in Lutz today 🤣

Thanks for sharing Micah! Great to see how Tim Burton’s childhood influenced so many of his films and the settings. He has always been one of my favourite directors. Batman Returns is a very underrated sequel

If anything Tim Burton came out, I was always eager to go see it as a teen. That is so cool! So much imagination.

OMG Micah thank you for sharing this! So cool I'm so glad you got to visit Burton's childhood neighborhood. I loved Edward Scissorhands and got to see the set in person; I really enjoyed your viseos of that neighborhood in current times, with trees grown back in and normal, nothing like the stark colorful backdrop they tentatively turned it into. It was surreal. You can definitely get the feel for the enclosed spaces in these lots, a very compact area, and very colorful today, it does make me wonder how it felt back then. 🖤

Next to Burbank Airport is a cemetery where he used to play in as a kid. All the houses in Burbank, North Hollywood and Sun Valley were all cookie cutter houses. They were built for all the people that worked at Lockheed, which is now the Burbank Airport.
