I remember that my AE. Mgt. I had to turn the spur gear to find the window inside ,then hold the spur gear an roll the truck forward to line the adjustment screw to the window of the spur gear inside the trans to adjust the 2 spd.! That is a very nice Savage you got ,very clean!..😍👍

Yes man get it going. Looks good , if you got a old long plat head schrew driver you can cut it and make it fit your drill and grind the head with dremmel so it will fit the backplate

The vemon speedo worked off a small magnetic dot I super glued & heat shrink onto my g/box out drive coupling to pick up speed count! 👍🏻

3 speed you can’t adjust second gear with out taking it out but you can adjust third gear 2 speed transmission you can adjust with out taking it out

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmGVaXyFlrKMra8 Copy that link bro he explains the 3 speed gear box and how you have to take it apart for the 1st to 2nd gear shift and the 2nd to 3rd is through the case. Counter clockwise makes it shift sooner and clockwise makes the shift later. It's just a spring and ball bearing inside the clutch that changes the pressure on the pawl bro. Obviously no problem adjusting the 2 speed box
