PG&E has never been on the hook their customers have always paid for all the damages that they've done. There's a damn rate increase every other month just to offset the incompetence and greed of their management not to fix lingering issues and putting profit over the safety of lives.

We pay 30 cents a kWh, a ripoff, and they still don't trim trees and fix their issues. In 2021 our voltage was routinely around 125 volts. Costing us about 6% more per year for no reason

31.5 cents actually, but you only pay that if you use less than 50% of the average, then you get hopped into "tier 2" baseline bullshit. Then you're paying almost 40c/kWh, which is going to be a lot of people

@@Mike__B yes I've noticed it's quite easy to get bumped up. We turn lights off and use mostly LED or cfls, etc... and the bill is a good 5x as high as some friends in NC

@@didamnesia3575 Yeah it's because of how they determine "baseline quantity", which if memory serves is based on 50-60% of the average usage in your territory. So what that means is if everyone is using around the same amount of electricity then roughly half of your bill will be in the higher tier, it's only if you use a lot less than others that you don't hit those tiers. Having solar panels often helps bring you down too, but PG&E seems to hate solar now and penalizes new customers

PG&E has been so mis-managed for so long, when will they get their shit together? I'm an unwilling customer and their ineptitude and history of poor line maintenance is really galling to me, as I and every other customer end up catching the brunt of their ensuing financial woes through my/our utility bill. smh

I called it...I even sent in a question to Cal Fire asking why nobody has even mentioned that PGE owns and controls the OXBOW facility. The first aerial photo shows that it started in their equiptment... BUT NEWSOME is in bed with PGE....remember his BDAY party at the FRENCH LAUNDRY??? PGE was there...their best buddies!!!! PGE will get a pass...file bankruptcy, and then come back and reem their customers to pay the fines...bank on it!!!!

How many times have you claimed man made climate change as the cause of most of these recent fires? I had to leave California as a result if your continual claims.
