Holiness Must Be Preached !!!!!!!!! Preachers Must Live Holy And Properly Represent The God They Preach About!!!! Instead of prosperity, blessings, and materialism, repentance from sin must be preached! Hell must be preached! Judgment must be preached! The lake of fire must be preached! Eternal life must be preached! The signs of the times must be preached! Holiness must be preached! Instead of the watered down trash they are preaching today! God is not playing games with people. The church in America is about to have a rude awakening and God doesn't care if you are offended by it because He is Holy and He will always punish sin!!! The bible says the soul that sins, it shall die!!!!

Elder, the reason we should be terribly concerned about homosexuality is because once a sin becomes legalized, people start accepting it as no longer sin. People still see lying as sin. They still see cheating as sin. They still see stealing as sin. Why? These sins have not been legalized. There is a difference. Maybe the reason people don't speak against gluttony is because it is legal to eat as much as you want to. Let's not let this happen with homosexuality like we did abortions and people shacking up. Most people don't see these sins as sin any more. It happens. It's how Satan works.

I disagree, Mr. Hollowell, on several fronts. 1. To God, and Caesar, theirs. The U.S. isn't a theocracy. Our Constitution claims "all men are created equal." Either it's true, or not. There are NO good reasons why homosexual human beings should be treated differently than heterosexuals --- and every endeavor open to YOU PEOPLE ought be open to THOSE PEOPLE. They can do everything thing you can do, and they can do it better, maybe; and I'm being somewhat facetious. 2. My religious tradition doesn't believe in devils. Human beings must take responsibility for their actions. For transgressions adjudicated in court, one can't state, "The devil made me do it." Satan's a side-show. And if you see him, tell him to "go to hell." 3. In constitutional democracies, It's the duty of families and religious institutions and some others, using moral suasion, to teach and preach against adultery, hate, pedophilia, promiscuity, gluttony, lying and cheating, for instance. Why so many have abdicated this to the "wind" is sad.The common good and families benefit when we do the right thing. Let's not wait for others to do what we must. 4. Civil unions and/or marriages in most western democracies, including some in Africa, are available to all citizens regardless sexuality. And religious bodies have every right to marry whom they wish. Good. You blame "Satan." But it isn't a question of blame. Many in modernity understand that two adults in a loving, committed relationship, one sanctioned in law, benefits those involved (and society), in many ways, particularly ones who have children, and a good number of homosexuals do. This should be encouraged, not rejected. Most heterosexuals won't get married and gays want to. It's ironic to state the least. 5. Homosexuality and heterosexuality embodies one's mind, body & soul, something biology informs. We don't get to dispute this, we do get to be sadly mistaken, if not ignorant. Ask someone why they are a particular sexuality and, invariably, they state, "I just am." Excepting those with their eyes closed ---- some using holy books and their heterosexual sensibilities as proxies----- it's clear sexual-orientation is a state-of-being. It's why the mental health professions and religion have failed to reverse patient's same-sex attractions. The best --- or worse, depending on your point of view --- one can do is help folk SUBLIMATE (s), for whatever reason/s, their desires, which isn't the same as erasing them. And many of these folks are talked into sham marriages despite those same sex feelings being ever present in the overwhelming majority of cases. To the extent environment plays a part, it's to specific attractions/fetishes ---- to big butts, small breasts, underwear or feet, for example. Social and/or family dynamics have no demonstrable sway in the formation of homosexuality. Every notion offered thus far has failed scrutiny. Offer one, and if I have the time I'll respond. Who knows...maybe you've discovered something. So what are we to do with the homosexuals in our midst? Prayer and psychiatry hasn't done the job. Is celibacy the answer --- it doesn't work for the overwhelming majority of healthy folks? Excepting platitudes and sloganeering, what can one do? Should we do anything? Jesus never mentions them. He said everything good we ought to know. And evidently it's not good enough for most of us. Sin and judgement occupies many a "christian" mind. And "hypocrite" defines too many. It's sad. Sometimes I think there are more brothers studying astrophysics than folks who'll get to Heaven.
@rainyhollowell22808 жыл бұрын
Forgive me for not reading beyond, "The Constitution says all men are created equal...," Mr. Boone. The Constitution is not the Word of God, nor will it ever be. It can be amended to suit man. The Word of God, on the other hand, is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. God does not change His word to please man. His Word says pride, homosexaulity, lying, stealing, fornification, adultery, etc. are sins. it also says those who don't repent of these sins will end up in hell. I believe God's Word. Do you?
@rainyhollowell22808 жыл бұрын
God hates sin. He has nothing against ANYONE doing anything as long as what they'll doing is not sin. Anyone (heterosexual or homosexaul) can work, eat, sleep, sing, walk talk, play, etc. without sinning, but a man having sex with another man is not just sin. It's an abomination... a sin that God absolutely detests. The Constitution can try to make homosexauality good if it wants to, but a holy, righteous God never will.

I'll say this... I am over the COGIC church and every other church. I know and trust God because God has been there for me. Though I do believe there are people who love Christ in the church, the COGIC is no different the Catholic Church. I've had ministers, "men of God", who have molested me during the week, yet preached against homosexuality on Sunday and the pastors know. With that said, Know God for yourself and learn to hear Gods voice... I told God I want to know you and your voice and I will be honest with you about everything since you know my heart and the blessings have not stopped. I have forgiven those who hurt me and ignored me when I went to them but I'm not stupid to believe anything that comes out of the mouths of these men and women when for years they've knowingly allowed young boy and girls to be raped! The truth hurts all across the board in the world of Christianity... Hopefully one day the church will focus on Christ and accept people as they are with love and know that all of us can end in the lowest valley or on the highest mountain top. Come just as you are...

Brother, I enjoyed your segment. Here's what the Holy Ghost wants all men to do, "hear my voice and harden not your heart during these troubled times (Hebrews 3:7-17). Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Unfortunately, we are living in the last days and there is no time for sugar coating the word of the Almighty God [Jesus]. Leaders of the church have fallen asleep and sin is running rampant, because they did not address sin (Isa 56:10-11). Jesus' solution to all men is this, "If my people, which are called by my NAME, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (II Chronicles 7:14). Because the sinful nature of man, they have worked to remove God [Jesus] as our leader, provider and protector. This land is very sicken to sin. Apostle Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and declared men "everywhere" to "repent" and be "baptized" in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the "remission" of sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38), because it is a promise. In order to insure sin has been removed...we all must repent and be baptized in Jesus Name; otherwise, there is no remission for sin. This is the word of God spoken... Once men have repented, we are to "prove" our love to HIM [Jesus] by the keeping of all His commandments, and his commandments are not grievous [burdensome]...I John 5:3. To know God [Jesus]...one is "required" to keep His commandments -- all ten! If someone claims, "I know God", but don't obey God's commandments, that person is called a liar for not living in the truth (I John 2:3-4). Our precious Savior [Jesus Christ] gave all men instructions by instituting this saying, "if you love ME...keep my commandments (John 14:15)." By keeping the commandments of the Almighty God [Jesus, HE WILL LOVE YOU FOR OBEYING them (John 14:21-23). That's good news to know that the Creator of the Universe [Jesus] love lit'l ole me for keeping and obeying his commandments; especially, the Seventh-Day Sabbath. Stay prayerful brother, because Jesus see your heart to compel men to HIM concerning the truth, but we are to keep his commandments; especially, the Seventh-Day Sabbath, as it was instructed by him. If man break his holy commandments (Ex 20:1-17)...they are sinning (I John 3:4). James said, if a man is guilty in one point, he is guilty of breaking all the commandments (James 2:10). For the keeping of God's Commandments, there are 10 blessings awaiting his people (Deut 28:1-14). If they don't obey God's commandments, they will be cursed (Deut 28:15-68) and this is what we are experiencing in this country. Will you pray with me while we have a chance for God to turn it around? My comments are not to hurt, or say curl things about anyone. I am commanded by Jesus to love EVERYBODY...regardless of their background and status (Matt 22:39). And, to help sanctify those for Kingdom Building through truth (John 17:17). The Holy Ghost is intelligent and he will help us to witness and say the right thing (Acts 1:8). To our Savior be the Glory for the good things HE has done (Phil 4:20), In Jesus Name.

When you do God's will, you are perfect. Jesus said " Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.". Too many people make excuses to justify sin. When you do God's will your perfect. You better be found doing God's will when Jesus comes in the Rapture. The reason you struggle like you do, are you really born again? Jesus said in John three verse 1-8, that we must be born again. See Acts 2:38. You must be baptized in Jesus' name and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Jesus died for one sin only; Adam's transgression. He restored fellowship between God and man. Now the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. That's when you repent. No baptism in the name of Jesus, NO remission of sins.

@calba244 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I speak in tongues because I was “filled” one Sunday at the altar on my own accord, but I don’t look down on others who don’t speak in tongues. They tried that tarrying with me a couple of times at a COGIC church, but I was raised Baptist and I was taught you don’t play with God. I told them when I get myself right, He will come and He did one Sunday at the altar when I was praying by myself. I can’t hold back my speaking at times when I worship God, but I don’t speak in tongues 24/7 because I know I am not always in the “spirit “ if I am not in worship. I work a job, and sometimes speaking in tongues is the last thing on my mind. Some people fake too much with the Holy Ghost, and try to say that those who aren’t “filled” don’t have him. It is the evidence, but the Holy Ghost dwells in each of us because he is everywhere in this world. He is a He because He is God’s spirit. I can’t stand to hear someone call the Holy Ghost an “it”. He is real, and I believe that we all who love the Lord he will dwell with us no matter the denomination or doctrine.

I want to address this issue. I was born and raised Baptist and I have family members that were Church of God in Christ. I am so sick and tired of Church of God and Christ people blaming Baptist for the downfall of the music department. now I can admit that Baptist people did things out in the open but Church of God in Christ people did things under cover. We all fall short it doesn't matter what are our denomination is. this issue needs to be addressed like every other issue in the body of Christ that is causing separation from God. When we as a people would stop trying to blame everybody else for our own problems we will become great. You are in your situation because you allowed yourself to get involved, you might have had some influence but they didn't put a gun to your head. Christians it is time to grow up and come out the closet and stop blaming everybody else. I am proud to say that I am Church of God in Christ now!

I have known for some time that the church is for saved people. Thank you for the history of the altar call. Holiness is the standard for the church and separation from sin and the world. But there is a mistaken notion that all and sundry should be welcomed into our congregations. What it has wrought is similar to the mixed multitudes that followed Israel out of Egypt. They only hindered the people of God from fulfilling the plan and purpose that God had for them. Not only that, they have polluted the churches and in some cases completely taken over. Who is on the Lord's side? Having done all to stand, stand therefore. Exercise the authority given for edification and rewarding disobedience with a just recompense and God will back up your authority. Put away the impenitent from among us for a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. We are not called to reform the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Grace and Peace!

Matthew 17: 21 is not even in many of the modern newer translations. Some translation put that verse in a footnote. However, I have taught that verse in the KJV and used it and know that there is power in prayer and fasting because I tried it over and over. We need to get back to that practice as a church and people of God.

Jesus, never beat up on people struggling with sin. He loved sinners but hated sin. He addressed/rebuked sin (the woman at the well) but never was unkind to the individual. He was only tough with the Pharisees because they knew better and oppressed the people with religious bondage. Jesus was never unnecessarily harsh even with the pharisees but tried every method to get them to see their need and condition. Jesus loved the pharisees and even those that put him on the cross. Let us love like Jesus. No sin is too big for Jesus. We are all sinners saved by grace.
@soundjudgement35864 жыл бұрын
Absolutely correct. All devote believers despise sin in themselves and in others. Jesus did not come to condem ( a person's soul ) but to save. Too many comments are deeply rooted on self hate on here. Yes self hate and bigotry yet they claim they are born again. Hate the sinbut live the person. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples that ye love ( not spew hate ) one another.

I agree with EVERY single point you have made thus far. Why would anyone want to join a church that insults them and does not show love? God's word is sufficient to do the work it was created to do, without the extra emotionalism in the church. I love the Church of God in Christ…….. I can’t take much more. I have to say something. First of all let me say that I love the Church of God in Christ. I love what it stands for and what it stands against. I love the Doctrine, the History, the Founder, the past leaders, and the current one. I was born into the natural side of this church on 8/8/1964 (4th-generation GOGIC), and the spiritual side on 1/25/1976. I have been running for Jesus a long time and yes, there have been times that I have gotten tired of running. Have I been perfect since my spiritual birth? No! I have made some innocent mistakes, and some bad choices. The innocent mistakes that I made were before hearing the Word of God (I didn’t know any better); and the bad choices that I made were after hearing the Word of God (I knew better, but the lust of the flesh was greater than my love for the Word). My bad choices led to me backsliding, which led to sins that I never imagined that I would commit. Oh, the shame that comes with sin. But God, and the Grand Old Church of God in Christ! When I was beaten down in sin, living a sinful lifestyle, and thought that I could not get back to God, I got up one Sunday morning and went to church. I was miserable in sin. I heard the anointed Word of God that day, repented of my sins, God reclaimed me, and I have never looked back. This Church (COGIC) is not perfect, but our God is! This Church is not without spot or blemish, but the church that Jesus Christ is going to rapture is! Therefore, let the world see God in us, not just church! Every saint of God has a charge to witness. Acts 1:8. The purpose of witnessing is to win souls for the kingdom. And we must be wise to do that! Prov. 11:30. How can the world accept our witness if they see us fighting each other? Calling each other horrible names! Accusing each other in front of people who are not yet saved! Launching evil attacks against leadership! Launching attacks against our brethren! Galatians 6:1-2. My heart is broken and saddened for my church; the love of my life, the apple of my eye, my birthright, my safety net. I know offenses, disputes, disagreements, fights (whatever you want to call what is going on right now on KZbin), will come, but, do we have to do it in the eyes of the world? Do we? Do we C.O.G.I.C. folks? Shame on us! Shame on us! Shame on us! Shame on us! Daniel 9:7-14. There is a way, a godly and Christian way to handle and resolve this catastrophe that is devastating this denomination. (Read 2 Samuel 12:1-24, Acts 15: 1-29). Sirs, please stop these attacks, in the name of Jesus. Please! Not for those of us who are already born again, but for the souls whom we have been assigned to win for Christ: up to and including the homosexual, the lesbian, bi-sexual, gay, transgender, queer, liar, pedophile, murderer: by man-made weapon (gun, knife, ect…) or that dreaded man-born weapon (the tongue), thief, idol mind, robber, drug dealer, drug user, false prophet, hypocrite, adulterer, fornicator, idolaters, sorcerers, doubters, etc…. You see, we were all guilty of something according to Romans 3:23. Not by choice, but by birthright! That came from the first Adam. But, thank God for the second Adam! Jesus Christ! And thank God for the blood of Jesus. Not only does the blood still work, but the blood does not discriminate! The blood of Jesus washes away sin. My sin. Your sin. All sin! Whatever the sin; omission (sin), commission (sin), abomination (sin), intentional (sin), secret (sin), whatever the sin. And one final note. The church (blood washed souls in Jesus Christ) is the Lamb’s Bride. Be careful how you treat this bride. St. Matthew 16:18; 18:6.

So let me address this and to all other pastors/preachers who have shared their views on being a real man. You rather all men be straight, ignore all there feminine traits such as so-called emotions, tenderness, loving but to project this masculinity at all times, be that angry black man who thinks everything is unfair or that everyone is against them because they are living a life of masculinity, this person whom you are told to be ? I’ll pass, all those men who wanted to prove their masculinity are in jail, dead-beat fathers and unsuccessful men, since being educate, articulate, smart, or expressive are a feminine trait? I am a successful young black man and my parents always taught me to be SOMEONE and as long as GOD is my foundation, that’s who will lead me on and not MAN and their philosophies, their theories on being a man when you were born a beautiful man and the talking down to other men (with names on the pulpit?) really. More men like me need to be out-spoken and stand up to this and educate these pastors/preachers. Generation NeXt! RJ

What that minister said was wrong. It was offensive to anyone who knows and follower Christ. But all issues should be addressed in the church. This is the problem, our religious liberties are at stake, and acting as if the church is suppose to accept mess is unacceptable. All people are welcome in the body of Christ, but if a perverted spirit is in the church for the wrong reason, and you allow it to run through and make it the normal. This is a problem. That spirit is mad at God and His people. This this is the reason that spirit exists. It is trying to make a mockery of what God has established. See the individual in Love, but see what's really going on. There is a time to fight. This means with our voices in the synagons, in Washington DC, against this spirit that wants us to go against our beliefs in Christ. They are not playing and neither should we. Open your eyes.

Sorry, but you're not accurate. The use of the word " suffer " in biblical directives can mean: 1.to totally disallow., e.g., Psalm 121:3-5 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved or 2. God grants / allows something to manifest from suffering., And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou. Hence, Pride can be used either as self glory ( sin ) or admiration for something good. The Elder expressed the latter in his presentation.

How is it that Apostles who walked with Jesus for 3.5 years day and night then received the outpouring of the Holy Ghost to do ministry right, after being filled, come right out the gate and baptize wrong???? This is what COGIC and other denominations says. Then us Gentiles come along and say they Apostles baptized wrong.......REALLY????? OR did the Apostles understood that Jesus meant tsomething else in Matthew 28:20. That's what really happened. I will not be a bystander. I will not be a perpetrator. You know my name. Say your name. And call theirs. This was a commentary I recently posted on a site with Kirk Franklin speaking on this subject. Many here have commented on our brother, Kirk, as if they know him or with whom he sleeps. And they've taken for themselves one of God's prerogatives, judging, as if they knew Mr. Franklin's heart, which places them in mortal danger. In Heaven's Court, when Eternity Beckons, will their Glass Houses shatter? I want to address the anti-homosexuality Biblical scriptures often cited. Because my purpose is to educate, the length of my commentary's longer than usual for You Tube. Some might appreciate thoughtful responses, others not so much; but such is life, and I harbor no illusions. Many folks have read the Bible. And they "know" what it states about their homosexual brethren/thank you. "Fronting" like eminent theologians, prominent doctors of ministry and/or celebrated Ancient History scholars, they riff like Miles would his trumpet on what the Bible says about THOSE PEOPLE. Well I've read several books on health and medicine. Call the "poe-leese", alert the press, then run away as fast as you can when you see "Kevin Boone, M.D." on some medical shingle. Why are the "men lying with men" verses in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and New Testament. Understanding how sexuality and inhospitable behavior manifested itself in the nations and peoples covered by the anthology of stories in the Bible would mean we need to stop condemning homosexuals. And by looking in the mirror we'd see our hypocritical selves. My summary will show how homosexual and homosexuality, the person and the act, are not necessarily the same. For demonstrating it, context is necessary, something egregiously missing in traditional Biblical interpretation and translation. More than a few women in antiquity avoided sexual relations. Some died when pregnant and numerous others while giving birth or shortly thereafter. (context) Numerous babies died in-utero or during or shortly after being born. And many children died before puberty. (context) Unlike today with advances in medicine and nutrition, females and babies lives then were precarious. Women thought hard before engaging sexually. (context) The Ancient Near East, the Roman World and Greece, areas in which Biblical stories take place, were interesting places for many reasons, especially sexually. Individuals were having sexual relations with the opposite sex and their genders, in many instances for reasons in addition to pleasure. Because of cults, the cult of temple prostitution, for example, for ceremonial reasons, for men vanquished by war or violence, for dominance, for the acceptance of pederasty (boy-man love), etc., heterosexual folk were having sexual relations (anal sex) with their own genders, They were heterosexuals engaging in acts of homosexuality. An ax murder is not about the ax --- and those Biblical scriptures are not about homosexuals. (context) While many married women and others weren't "giving it up" (so to state), there were a few women engaged in prostitution and/or orgies; rape played a prominent role as well. (context) God and the prophets understood if heterosexuals engaged in homosexuality, the human population, nations and cultures couldn't survive. (context) Consider homosexuality in men's prisons. The overwhelming majority of those engaging in sexual relations with their genders are heterosexual. I understand many would say those men are really homosexual, but I don't think so. Those men engage in same-sex relations for pleasure, dominance and for the absence of women. But their minds, bodies and souls are still primarily oriented to females. They remain heterosexual. Here "homosexual" and "homosexuality" are distinctions with a difference. (context) To understand the "men lying with men" (MLWM) scriptures folk have to do more than focus on words. As important is to know something about the histories, cultures and traditions and legal systems, ancient languages (and problems of translation), etc., of the places in which Biblical stories take place. You won't otherwise get the context. Why were some of those MLWM verses added to the King James* Bible/KJB (and some lesser ones) in the 1940s? Go do some work, folks. Find out the roles played by hysteria, homosexuality, circumcision, masturbation and Kellogg's and Post breakfast cereals and "graham crackers" (White-oriented Black folks? Oh, no!). (*His HIGHNESS was a notorious drinker and homosexual; Sir Walter Raleigh in letters often referred to him as "Queen James.") Consider the (loaded) term "abomination": All of us are "abominations unto the Lord," at least according to the Bible. ABOMINATION" is a woefully inaccurate translation of the original Hebrew terms "toevah" and "sheketz," words used to describe some failing (moral or ethical), cult behavior, or idolatry practiced by other peoples; and these are something to be avoided by the Ancient Israelites, as they are "taboo" (toevah/shekketz). The Old English word "abomination" is a corruption. According to the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), wearing certain clothing, eating particular shell-fish and meat, lying, remarriage, not keeping kosher, fornication, adultery, misbehaving children, lewd sexuality in a cultic fashion, male homosexuality, worshiping idols and false gods, practicing witchcraft, etc., are all considered toevah (taboo) / sheketz. Why are we singling out one class of people, homosexual human beings, as the personification of the term? (context) If you want to preach something about healthy relationships, preach the truth: Each one must be centered in LOVE absent adultery, hate, coercion, promiscuity or pedophilia. THOSE PEOPLE and YOU PEOPLE need to preach, teach and practice that moral-ethic. Individuals, families, communities and nations suffer when we don't. If responding, don't quote "chapter & verse," as I know them. I respect your literal reading of the Bible, as you have every right to believe what you will. I understand the difference between the "God of Faith" and the "Historical Jesus," and they're not synonymous (not the same things). I use a historical-critical method of interpretation, one informed by various disciplines, including the history of human sexuality, a relatively new field of inquiry. An understanding of the problems of translation and transcription has been helpful as well. Evangelical and fundamentalist brethren are aghast at this iconoclasm. Non-superlatives like "evil," "reprobate mind," "devil" and, my absolute favorite, "abomination," are hurled like so many stones. Many believe descending into Hell and into Satan's warm embrace is my fate. Many would do well to look in the mirror for who might go to hell. I sleep well at night, as God understands me, knows my heart. He's always been there for me, and mine, and I will never abandon Him. He's the "light of my light." And you can't touch that. I know a lie can't live forever. And "to everything its season under the heavens." Shalom, sisters and brothers. (KFB, 6.14.16)

I grew up in the COGIC, and never have I heard anyone actually TEACH before I heard you speak. That is what the church lacks, is SOUND TEACHING. What I saw at the 107th convention (via video on KZbin) was a mockery. I am gay. I don't have any shame in that, and it took me years to come to understand God, and His purpose for me to fully be able to say that. For me, God is COMPLETE love, meaning His love extends beyond your faults, "flaws", or actions. Being gay can't cancel God's love, being a liar can not cancel God's love. I don't believe there is anything God detests more than a closed, hardened, and unwilling heart. Had Andrew Caldwell, and even the "evangelist" that was "convicting his spirit" been TAUGHT what the Lord can do with a WILLING and OPEN heart, that incident would not have happened. I believe that God can do ALL things through the heart of a man or woman who WILLINGLY allows Him in to do His work. Not only that, but He gives us (through the shed blood of Christ) the POWER to work WITH HIM in doing the work. That is what the "evangelist" missed. That is the teaching that Andrew missed. Your teaching here, I believe, will open hearts of those who do not feel being homosexual is a part of the life that God has planned for them. What I can't agree with, though, are some facts you presented around being a part of the gay community and it being tantamount to a "gang". Just as salvation is personal, so is deliverance. And if one's deliverance is real, then the reprimand and backlash from the world should not be enough to make someone back slide. Overall, thank you for this message you've shared and the spirit of love you exude. It is greatly appreciated!!

The minute he said, "The church is perfect." I stopped listening. The church is the people, no perfect people go to church. There is no such thing as a "perfect church.' We all strive to be faithful and live up to the word. Sexuality and gender are two different things. Gender is your biological assignment sexuality is who and what you respond to. What preachers of every denomination should do is call all of the homosexuals and bisexuals (if they'll come) up to the front of the church and refund all of their tithes and offerings, then put them out. Guaranteed you'd have an almost empty and financially strapped church. Next call out the gossipers, adulterers, liars, alcoholics, drug addicts, judgement passers, etc. Seems like the church could use a healing.

"Separation of church and state", is why the law has been expanded in many states to include those who are gay/lesbian. The Constitution protects those who are. A large part of the US population are neither Christan or COGIC. Many support this law. My question to you and the Black church is why aren't y'all focused on the low rate of marriage amongst HETERSEXUAL men/women? Now a days even those who tell everyone else they are saved and walk close to the lord, have babies out of wedlock and live with their gf/bf. Now, I know this is not new and occurred "back in the day" but not to the extent it is now. It so pervasive in the Black community as it is now common place. Most Black families consist of a single female with children. Why aren't you focused on that? Also, why hasn't the Black church taken on the issue of the high rate of incarceration of young Black men? Many of them did not have fathers in their lives. Many also did not do well in school. Why doesn't the Black church provide tutorial classes for those in their community? There is a lot of dysfunction rampant in the community that the Black church seems to filed in the "too hard" file. Instead, of teaching responsibility, and self respect, the Black church stays silent. Why are you ignoring the elephants in the room (the disintegration of the Black family) ? Focusing on the JUST the sin of homosexuality (your words) makes the church seem myopic and paranoid.

There is a difference in fighting/battling something and then just being overtaken by it. If someone is fighting/battling something, that means that they are not wanting to be a part of it. They are wanting out. But if some one is letting that thing overtake them, that's a whole other thing. When you are overtaken by something, you are willfully indulging in it. Homosexuals that want to be delivered(that are fighting/battling that thing,) they will be helped. But when are want to willing stay in an abomination and blaspheme God Himself, the Holy Ghost in the man of God is not going to sit idly by and let it happen. The Bible instructs the watchman to cry loud and spare not. He obeyed the Holy Ghost when he spoke against the homosexuals that like what they are into and don't want to come out of it. If anyone wants to bash and attack that then, I pray the very mercy of God on you. Because you have just attacked the Holy Ghost. The man didn't say of that, the Holy Ghost did.

Why do you think people felt it was alright to release that video about that man saying "he don't like mens no more. He like women, women , women. Because it is part of the show. The church is over 100 year old, where are the hospitals, the universities, and financial institutions. The churchz's culture is sick. Believe it or not if Mason was alive he would not be welcome to preach in most Church of God and Christ pulpits. First thing they would say that he is old fashion, he not educated, and he moans to much.

TO ALL SAME GENDER LOVING PEOPLE, WHO YOU HAPPEN TO BE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REPENT OR BE EMBARASSED FOR BEING WHO U DID NOT CHOOSE TO BE. YET YOU CHOSE TO (EXCEPT) WHO YOU ARE. This pastor wants to know why MANY states and half the country excepts same gender loving people, is because most free (free thinking) people with a half a brain know that the spirit of discrimination is wrong. As usual the lack of evolving church is ineffective to people and young peoples issues today. In a world were organizations must stay on the cutting edge of dealing with complex issues, the church is still using Windows 95'. This is why along with hypocrisy, young people don't want anything to do with these churches. and they're even becoming a joke

the "church" isn't doing any healing now, so what happen?
@Steve7ten4 жыл бұрын
It has never been the church doing the healing. It's God through them. And yes it's still going on today.

@@Steve7ten if that was true, then why did 30 leaders of the "church" die from a virus that was man made?

The church/religion uses Scripture to justify hatred, prejudice and bigotry. The church should be about three things: worship, praise and service. All that other "BS! is a terrible misuse of man's relationship with God and the church/religion should be ashamed of what the church/religion is doing to hurt people.

What happened to the Pentecostal church? They joined Rome. Your outfit is Roman. Now ask the people, what happened to the church? Money, power, Rome. It's not their fault, it's yours.

FOR one thing you don't have to tarry my brother,the mothers were wrong in doing this,and many went into judgement cause they really had the Holy Ghost yet were told they didn't,then back slid and died that way,a lot of mothers will have to answer to God,Bishops as well...

I understand what your saying brother and i agree with some of your points, but I'm concerned about how your trying to say a holiness preacher that is moved by the spirit of God to say what's on his heart and PEOPLE get saved and delivered that your saying he should have used different language. we should leave it alone.Jesus and Paul and many of the old testament prophets said very harsh words to the people who were lifted up with religious pride.I believe that's where Pastor Carter was coming from. True Holiness (living free from Sin)is right all by itself and God don't need you or me to say anything about how he uses his servant.It's still holiness or hell for us all.

Most people, AFTER observing the sermon days later, saw the FLESH in that message.. which is why it caused more DIVISION than anything. Many homosexuals struggle with this stronghold and you can't preach to them in such exclusivity.. they are not the Pharisees of Jesus day.
@Allnationsworldwide10 жыл бұрын
So this means that most of the people and Bishops in attendance were in flesh that were screaming in support at what he was saying.The truth is there was a anointing in the message because Yokes were destroyed.It only caused Division among people who are under the influence of a Carnal secular society that want to make end roads in the church.The Holiness Preach has always been controversial because he preaches against SIN..

Did not Jesus himself call the Pharisees and Sadducees vipers, ect ! When he got fed up with their ways he did not cut corners . Constantly calling them out and revealing who they were and what they were doing many times . When God told Jonah to go preach in Nineveh , he told him to go tell them about their wicked ways , to CRY OUT AGAINST IT . That does not mean be sensitive to their situation ! How were you converted ! Someone had to at some time cry out against the sins you were committing . Sins I was committing ! I know Jesus said that through love and kindness have I drawn thee , but he hates sin ! Did not Jesus whip those people out of the temple for selling trading , buying , Did he not flip the money table over in anger at what they were doing in his house of prayer !

Thanks for the video, it helps to have a balance vue on the subject. I've found this video insightful, as a young preacher myself I believe in law to the proud and grace to the humble. As you rightly said pastor, a large part of the problem is most churches don't have a firm or clear stand on this issue aswell as other similar problems, and we don't really create a forum for it. People have two extremes, either they turn a blind eye (which I believe that's what the sermons intent was about at the 107th) or they completely give no home to the homosexual. That being said there is a difference between the lost who want help and want deliverance and the proud who wan t to stay the way they are and not only be accepted but glorified. I work in a school and when it comes to bad behavior there are some you need to be harsh with and some you have to be so gentle with. Don't be soft with blatant, habitual sin that is destroying the life of its practitioner and the on lookers, rebuke, reprove, exhort with all longsuffering! Law to the proud and grace tonthe humble.
