This guy's got it down - immaculate. Thanks for the well-done video, as well. I've been a Brian fan, since 1974; just after he had left college, where he was studying planetary sciences (I'm an astronomer myself). He got his doctorate in astrophysics, in, I think it was 2012!! He was also an essential team member on NASA's New Horizons Pluto mission. Thanks to Dr. May, as well. Great video, this.

+David Connelly it's really a simple set up. The guitar is a cheap BMG replica, the pedal is the Digitech red special. I only add some reverb delay and chorus occasionally with Logic, but the pedal settings are all presets as they come from the factory.

I think his point is that Brian doesn't (that I've seen or heard) try to replicate the solos in the same exact way live, and the poster has precisely nailed the recorded solos exactly, tone and all, as far as my ear i can tell. No need to get upset, folks.

Brian Battaglino but even this solos collection isn’t a live recording (one take) so you can’t compare it to the Brian’s live versions. I think it’s much more difficult to be perfect during a 1 hour and half of show or more then when you are playing in your room sited on a chair, with no pressure and with the possibility to do it again when something is wrong. In most of the solos the guitar are more then one so you have to do an arrangement and that will sound inevitably different than a studio version.

Suggestion: You could do a public service to all thousand of Red Special happy owners showing clearly the switch configuration in the beginning of each song.... Sometimes Its possible to see them or even deduct'em, but a closer freezes would help a lot.

I am not sure myself.. I just go by trial and error.. remember this is a cheap copy of the red special, so the pickups and wiring don't respond as well as you would expect. Some of the combination are pretty poor... I usually use the 3 main on off switches and usually just the phase switch on the neck pickup.
