The Thriller solo is the one everyone always remembers because it's much flashier, but for my money, Hot For Teacher is the one. It's technically more difficult, more cohesive and is much more integral with the song. The Thriller solo sounds like someone showed up in Eddie's living room with a recorder, he plugged in and just played over someone else's music. Which of course is EXACTLY what happened! :-)

You rock. Your solos are absolutely spot on, arguably better than the original renditions. I don't make that comment lightly since the authors are absolute guitar legends, but you have an incredible talent. Can't wait for some other decade covers.

You are multi-talented, smooth as shet on guitar and super consistent. Very good videos, video editing. Over all just super. Man you are a solid guitarist and I've been playing 41 years bro...Thanks for the treat to the great solos from the '80's and '70's.

Holy flyin' FU..! Those EvH solos (and most of all others) are pretty much indistinguishable from the originals. Besides your impressive guitar playing technique your ability to faithfully recreate sounds is awesome. I am deeply impressed.

It is just insane what Eddie Van Halen did by his guitar work... and we guitarists often only recognize his untouchable solos but indeed it is his crazy rhythm guitar work that makes the difference Since 1978 many shredders came along as Eddie did but none of them came close to his skills imo He is just from another dimension Awesome work you did right here! Wish I had just a bit of your technical abilities 👍🏻👍🏻

@@wojtekmetal yes i know and i understand that my comment might be a bit confusing because the video includes Beat It But i was trying to refer to Eddies work on all the Van Halen stuff

There's videos of Eddie's isolated guitar tracks for several VH songs. When you listen to those you realize why there was never a need for a rhythm guitarist in VH. He pretty much does it all simultaneously.
@NexuizIncarnate14 жыл бұрын
Yngwie is better, but only marginally. In my mind Van Halen still beat him overall though, because Yngwie is a pompous prick about it, which automatically makes me appreciate someone's guitar skills half as much.

As covers go, this is probably among the best work I've ever heard. Virtuoso playing, intelligent arrangement, great guitar collection and, I dare say, the tones on most solos were better than the originals. To think that you are relatively unknown, that blows my mind. And this is why I have decided to give up playing and turn my instruments into coffee tables.

Damn, when he hit the last note of the trooper, I knew Fade to Black was coming! Great playing.

What I simply do not understand, is how someone who has clearly dedicated a lot of time into an art such as this, and has been able to pretty much match and play these things just like the original, can warrant a "dislike" on the video. People these days just have no clue what is good or bad anymore....they are probably the ones who sit there watching cat videos, munching on stale cheetos, while fingering their belly button.....makes no sense. This is some good, amazing talent right here. Props to you Gabriel

You can only play note for note solos correctly if you "feel" the song. This dude really feels it. Great musician.
