A Collection of Short Theories [Vol. 1] | ASOIAF

There are many major mysteries in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. These get a lot of discussion. But there are also many minor mysteries as well. Oddities and curiosities. And although they are small, they invite intense investigation as well. This video is a collection of several smaller theory videos that I've posted to the channel in the past. I've compiled them there here with additional information and some corrections.

The Jon Snow theory's really related to Aegon in the books. He's the one claiming to be the Aegon that died as an infant and wants his Kingdom that's rightfully his just like the guy in the books u mentioned.

i enjoyed this new old video :) i just started reading the MS&Th series but i started with the prequel "brothers of the wind" where ineluki is still alive and i knew nothing about the series beforehand... so this was quite a reveal

I really like this Video, thanks for your hard work and sharing it with us. Not sure about Jon's Fate being the same in the Books, because of the Lion of the Night and the Karstarks, especially Rikkard. GRRM's previous writing, other Books not ASOIAF, shows that he was always inspired by these Authors and Stories, but most of the time he twisted the Ending to his liking. Little Explanation, bear with me, I do have a Point: The End of the Long Night, which was brought upon the World by the Blood Betrayal, which caused the Lion of the Night to curse Mankind with a neverending Winter Night, it ended because of the Deeds of a woman with a Monkey Tail. This Legend from Yi Ti is mentioned in the Books and I think it foreshadows a Woman with a Monkey Tail killing the new Blood Stone Emperor. Not Stannis, but Daenerys. Furthermore, GRRM likes to play with Fantasy Tropes but some literary Rules he doesn't twist and Change, for example, did you ever read about Jon fighting a Woman in Hand-to-Hand Combat? Or did Jaime fight Brienne with Swords? No, because Protagonists don't do these kinds of things in ANY Genre, Antagonists do this, yes, but no Maincharakter in ASOIAF is handled as a pure Antagonist. Starks and Lannisters are Antagonists to each other, but not general Antagonists. So IF Daenerys IS to be killed, I think it is safe to say it won't be Jon, because Jon is Male. Daenerys is Female and in Case a Woman has to fight a Man in Literature, the Woman wins always (has something to do with the Trope of the weak defeating the Strong, a similar metaphor can be found with David and Goliath in the Bible) So IF Daenerys is to be Killed it will be by a Female Character. At least this is my Opinion.

2:56 Varys was taught the castles secrets, as a child as were all the Targaryen children. Just as Stark children know their secret path out of Winterfell, so do Rhaenys and Aegon (not at the time but was told how he escaped).

@@KevinPendragon for Targaryens it’s the one Tyrion took to escape, GRRM put him there to show the path Aegon(young Griff) took. For Starks, it’s though the crypts that Bran and co took as well as young Barbary and the guy who got “the daughterless” Stark girl pregnant making all future Starks actually Snows. If you’re incredible at holding breath or a Salmon “who ate the nut of the tree of knowledge “ you can swim from the spring underwater though the dragon caves( metaphorically lava tunnels) to the well at Castle Black near the Weir door continue on though the “Love Tunnel”(Meera and Hodor in a boat) and end up at the bottom of a sinkhole caused by the underground river. If you’re wondering how Bran gets back to Winterfell quickly the answer is a “Wyrmhole”. He won’t realize since he will hit his head and he and most readers will think he died since everything will go “black” … for the water below is (lava tunnels metaphorically). Unconscious and dreaming will end up in the Spring (Dream of Spring). Boat builder and better climber Meera will chase with Hodor in a boat used to fish Pink Salmon, but will stop at a ladder at the well. After Hodor fakes out Holding the door death at the sinkhole, he will actually die at the door that wept when he walked through it.

@@KevinPendragon Valerian word for Jon is Aegon, Lorathi word for Jack is Jaqen; it’s all the same name like in real life with Jack, Jon, John, Shawn, and Sean. All three “Aegons” will merge into one body as they die: Aegon(young Griff) at Kingslanding going into Aegon the younger(Jaqen), and Jaqen(Jack Frost) dying at the Tree by Arya’s dagger going into Aegon the even younger(Jon Snow/).

Jon parentage has meaning, and I think George wont change just bc it has been decades since the fandom found out. Now Aegon being fake or targaryen or blackfyre doenst matter. If he has politics and strategy knowledge he can strike KL while Lannisters are falling. I think he will marry a high born lady for war alliance like Arianne but it wont go smoothly. I dont know if he will have any relevance to Dream of Spring like representing indeed the rise of Blackfyres or Targaryens or just be a stepstone to fill the gap until Dany arrives. Anyway, Varys apparently supports Aegon and Illyrio seems to root for Dany more (like why give the best things to her? Why they didnt marry aegon and dany?)

Suggestion for part 2: The valiryians were behind the construction of the oldtwon tower. Azhor haia and the last hero are the same tale. Daenerys is Rhaegar daughter, and Jon is brandon son. Robby will be ressurrected as the night king.

Memes aside, whether Quentyn is alive or dead is dependent NOT on what's in the text so far, but whether or not Martin wants to use him in Winds. That's it. That is the only factor that really matters. Martin loves BS fake out deaths. Read the end of Davos' last chapter in Clash, there is no way for him to survive then he's just inexplicably alive in Storm, stranded on a rock and then miraculously rescued, ostensibly because Martin wanted Davos in the story. Davos even lampshades this his first Storm chapter, that it doesn't make sense that he survived.

Maybe foreshadow is not the best word, but it might illuminate the reader who is not aware of a logical conclusion that the chronologically newer book might bring to the light.

@@dylanbell268 She has more insights into his way of thinking than fans do, by a hundred fold. Order of the Green Hand is the ONLY channel to work out the math and timeline of his the births over that time. It's objective if you familiar yourself with the sequence of events as given (spread out) by GRRM, rather than ignore them all, like that basic theory requires. The brilliance of Jon being the first born son of Ned and TRUE Stark is brilliant.... not the R+L silliness. How many times is Jon referred to a bastard? It's his whole identity. Literally beats you over the head with it the whole story. Jon is no bastard.... it's only the fans trying so desperately to make him one. Catelyn's children are ALL bastards.
