Most of the nonsense is cut out of this video too, had several kraken attacks putting this altogether, the rover randomly blowing up when I wasn't controlling it, things clipping into the ground when they were ground tethered, prop issues with the module landers. But at least it all got done and ended up looking pretty decent by the end! :D

Actually, fusion reactors can't really explode because the fusion process will stop itself when the conditions aren't 100% right. So it's very unlikely that any catastrophe would happen. Besides that, keep up the quality and the longer videos! I really enjoy those.

haha yeah I know fusion reactors generally are safer than fission, just thought it was a nice little idea to test some new tech off world :D also thanks, will probably try and keep the series a bit more like this from now on :) (I missed making these style of vids)

Haha thanks! Now you've got me wondering if it'd be possible to make the thunderbirds in KSP :P 1, 3 and 5 should be quite simple, 2 and 4 might be a bit trickier though, I've never messed around with subs so 4 would probably be the biggest challenge for me :P

Try checking your settings in the Trajectories menu while you're in flight, you might need to tell the mod if you're entering facing prograde, retrograde, or at an angle to both!

Yeah, I thought I had it set to retro which was how I was bringing all these down. Weird thing is when I was testing all the parts they landed exactly where they said they were going to land, but of course when I do it for real that goes out the window :P

Great designs and good progression. Also, sorting out the mods into a somewhat stable build must have been a labour of love. Obviously it takes a long time to put all this together and it must be hard fitting it all in. The relatively slow publishing cadence must be the reason that you have fewer views than many other youtubers of lesser ability than yourself. It's a shame that this series seems so underrated. To me, it's worth waiting for.

I used ckan to install most of the mods for this series :) There were a few that I had to go direct to github to install, but probably 95% was all done through ckan :)

Do you mean the navball? It’s not changed in this vid but earlier on in the series I was using principia which does change it, but that’s because principia you need to be changing reference frames a lot because n body physics is considerably more complex than the two body physics that stock ksp has :p

Quick note: With Kerbal Konstructs, you can set a facility to be a Hangar, which means you can use it to de-load crafts and "Store" them. (The amount you can store by default depends on the size of the hangar, but you can change it)
