Oh my god... been waiting for you to go interstellar since the beginning of this series! I think the Kerbol system is the most interesting thing in the whole mod and it has so much lore hidden on the planets...

Those spaceplane parts might have a lifting surface component to them, which would explain why the Manta flew so well without wings. The game considers the entire vessel a wing effectively cx

quite possibly, I don't have FAR on this install either so it uses stock KSP wonky aerodynamics model, with FAR this thing probably would have died a very explody death haha

Had to make my own interstellar relay antennae, since I couldn't find a standalone long-range antenna mod that fit my requirements. Basically used the largest stock relay (which was also restock-ified by Nertea's mod) and supersize it to heck and back, It's now basically a repurposed radiotelescope dish, in space. Travelling at over 200,000ms now toward the nearest star, it should get there within a century. Following on its heels is an automated factory that is mostly rocket parts by weight, and a small amount of other fuels. Then comes the crewed mission.

Really great to see Kerbals finally sending something home-ward. If it’s possible, you should drop the probe into Kerbin’s atmosphere at the end of it’s journey!

I think it'd be more crashing into Kerbin than dropping into the atmo, I think Kerbol going Nova (or whatever happened) stripped kerbin of its atmosphere and reduced it to a tiny rock probably half the size of what it once was :P

Awesome stuff! I would suggest to name the interstellar probe something more specific rather than just 'the flower.' I like "Dandelion" because of the big yellow panels in the front. P.S. Good luck on exams! I sure am feeling the pressure for mine :/

Thanks! And yeah absolutely, its pretty damn close right now, 5 years to get there only burning 24k m/s is a bit silly, I think I'll wait for this mission to arrive and then modify Kerbol to be much further, as I don't really want to mess around with it whilst I've got something enroute, but it does mean that sending crew over later will be much more challenging :P

What's the extended KSC mod, and what's it do? And is your manta craft file available somewhere? I've messed with OPT a bit but haven't had a great deal of luck making something that size/shape actually work.

Tundra Space Centre and Kerbal Konstructs together! It doesn't really do anything apart from make the KSC look pretty! (I think you can store crafts in some of the hangers actually) And I haven't uploaded it anywhere no, but that's absolutely something I can do, might start putting those on the discord! :)
