Hi, I am a FNaF-Lore consultant for Chalkeaters! (And also your fan)... Thank you so much for your kind words! It's great to hear, that the song can be appreciated without a degree in a Scary Bear Game! Honestly, there is SO MUCH FNaF-easter eggs, I wouldn't even attempt to write them all in this comment... Your comment section is doing great job of informing you about them... But! I will say... There is a complimentary video for this one, accessed by puting together a +secret code+... I might be reaching, but I *_believe_* the “crowbar to the knee” bit is an (albeit niche) callback to a classic FNAF fanmade animated comedic shorts saga by Piemations called “5AM at Freddy’s”. Spoilers: at the end of “The Sequel” (based ironically on the third game) it features Springtrap getting a crowbar to the knee by the security guard (provided by Phantom Foxy per “I dunno, I’m bored”). It’s really stupid but I’m pretty confident that’s the only “crowbar to the knee” thing of much significance in the FNAF scene lol 😅

For 'three exhibits perished on a stage', the animating force behind the animatronics coming to life are, indeed, the souls of children that the series' antagonist (AKA 'Purple Guy') had killed.

I'm confused about that line too, the kids didn't die on a stage. They clearly say the exhibits perish on the stage, but in that shot you see almost nothing happen aside from their eyes glow, which doesn't give 'perishing' vibes. Also, it's implied that these aren't the original animatronics, these are the display animatronics for the con they're at. So it feels a bit preposterous to say this line is talking about the kids.

As a FNaF lore expert, I'm gonna run through this and break down some lines you didn't get. Obviously I too will miss a ton of stuff, but this should at least cover a decent amount. "With a bit of grit till the beak of dawn we're withering a bit" - Reference to the Withered Animatronics from FNaF 2. "They theorize a lore out of a single page" - Reference to how there are many singular pages in many of the FNaF books that entirely recontextualize *everything* about the story and are still debated on many years later. "Just focus on the fan and breathe" - There's an ongoing joke in the FNaF community that the desk fan seen throughout the games is evil/the main villain of the franchise, which this is probably supposed to tangentially reference. Mat's entire section is a reference to the FNaF 1 phone call. Matpat's phone verse ending with "SKIP" is a reference both to the player's ability to skip the phone calls and the fact the Matpat has a cat named Skip. "We're your bite of '24" - Reference to the Bite of '87, or the Bite of '83. The Bite of '87 isn't *that* significant - it just got the location of one of the games shut down. The Bite of '83 is one of the most important moments in the entirety of the FNaF timeline, resulting in the death of Dave (or Evan, if you still buy the old theory of the Logbook for some reason or other [or Garret, if you incorrectly assume the continuities of the movie, books, and games to be interchangeable]), and arguably what led William Afton to going down the path that would make him the child-murdering body-possessing ai-reincarnating hell-escaping thrice-revived quadra-immortal demigod we know him as today. "Their loud breathing makes us laugh a little bit" - Reference to how you have to listen for the animatronics breathing through your doors in FNaF 4. "Throw in your customs nights and days" - Every FNaF game gives you a 'custom night' after you beat the game that allows you to choose to ai strength of each animatronic before the night starts. Final thoughts: Not *nearly* as dense as I expected. I was fully ready to explain the nuances of the difference between Fazgoo, Remnant, Dark Remnant, and Agony, but I'm kinda glad I don't have to get that deep into it. Pretty impressed by the song, overall - I think the relative simplicity probably works in its favor here.

I think theorizing the lore out of a single page is a metaphor for how the games are typically very short and usually take place within a single building, and when contrasted against open world games, are clearly comically small in scope. Yet FNAF gets more lore theorizing than most of these open world games combined.

On where people are in the track, they're generally background for this track because it's sung in Professor Chalk's Point of View, however after the kids "Shut up!" MatPat, each of Dheusta, in particular Stupes (Theo is their character, the proper nerd, obviously) and OR3O (in order) sing a bar (and cycle again) for the "origin of the fans" Also; the two Indies you missed on Chalk's to-do list are "Iron Lung" (Feature Length film produced my Markiplier coming... soon? Mark's having a time, it's done, but he's having a TIME.) and "Hades" also amazing. Similarly; the notes in Theo's notebook on "Strategies for (surviving?) Animatronics" are all ways in which the Animatronics have been "beaten" With a little jab being played with "Turn them into Marketable Plushies". In particular, in the game "Ultimate Custom Night" (Custom night is a game mode in game that lets you customize a hard gameplay session, thusly "Custom nights and days") "Rockstar Chica" can only be deterred by moving a wet floor sign over to her entrance, as she is paranoid of slipping.

There's a bit where they're all on screen in a discord call, so from that we can tell Damian is the music guy, as his screen name was DamWantsToJam (probably a reference to NateWantsToBattle) Theo is the tall guy with the bowtie and theory fan, Alex is the girl with blue hair (and seems to be trans given the differences between her present and past self, based), the artist is Julia and the gamer with the mask is ChEaTcOdEy (the best name here)

ChEaTcOdEy if I'm not wrong is the protagonist of previous Chalkeaters song "Lock Me Up" I guess he's part of Professor Chalk's classes. the other characters I believe have previously appeared in previous Professor Chalk based songs like Songus Amongus, One More Pull, Rollout the Fallout and I think that's it for songs that featured Professor Chalk's class. It also seems like the voices are consistent since Stupendium also voiced Theo in Rollout The Fallout for a single line though I don't know if that's true for the rest of the characters.

11:45 -Doors and lights the only defense you have in Fnaf 1 -music and audio lures Music is used to sedate a specific animatronic in Fnaf 2, with audio lures of children laughing being used in Fnaf 3 to lure away animatronics. -controlled shock In Fnaf: sister location (or fnaf 5), if animatronics are out of place, you use electrocution to shock them until they go back to their stage, which is referred to by the narrator/instructional voice as a controlled shock -eye contact (they are shy) Animatronics in the first three games can’t move while you look at them on the cameras. -FIRE in fnaf 3, fire is used to burn down the building after night 5 in an attempt to get rid of the animatronics for good. It fails. They try it again in fnaf 6, and it kind of sort of works but not really, and then they do it again in Fnaf: security breach, which also doesn’t work. You think they’d learn. -Poverty fazbear entertainment is a comedically evil, money hungry company, and will shut down anything that doesn’t make money. Also likely a reference to fnaf 6, in which you run your own pizzeria, and one possible ending is bankruptcy. -Crowbar to the knee As explained in another comment, this is a deep cut reference to a popular fnaf fan animation series called Five AM at Freddy’s. -Turn them into marketable plushies A meme within the community that stems from the VR game, in which the main threat of the game is indeed transformed into a plushie. -Hoover jumpscare There’s a minor character in the fnaf series named Mr. Hugs, who is a “animatronic” that is just a vacuum with googly eyes and plastic hands taped on. In the game ultimate custom night, which is sort of a joke game, one of the animatronics has retired from killing you and is a gamer. He’s playing a simplified version of the first fnaf game called “Five nights at mr hugs” on one of the cameras, which features Mr hugs as the only animatronic. You have to help him not lose throughout the night, otherwise he will blame it on you and kill you. -slippery floor In the same game, there is an animatronic that is defended against by putting a wet floor sign in front of a the door she tries to enter from.

Doom and Street Fighter have a decent amount of lore outside the games. For instance Doom 2 and onwards happens because the demons killed Daisy. There's quite a bit more lore than that if you go looking making Prof Chalk's line about a single page kinda ironic. Doom's canon timeline (including expansions): Doom 1, Doom 2, Doom 64, Doom (2016), and Doom Eternal. The kids of FNAF in the song were introduced in their own songs by the Chalkeaters. For instance the Video Gamer is from the song they had about playing games during the quarantine and not even noticing what's happening outside. They weren't joking when they said Chalkeaters AU. The Bonnie Fight was a Friday Night Funkin reference. The kids each fulfill a role: artist, musician, video gamer, and cosplayer. BlackGryph0n is in some Brony songs making the line ironic. This song has a specific focus on FNAF but is about Fandoms in general. The Living Tombstone very recently released a fully orchestrated remake of their original FNAF song. The music video features the orchestra playing and singing it.

Sorry to nitpick something very tangential to the actual subject at hand, but there's *a lot* more to Street Fighter lore than "there's a fighting tournament, and that's it". Every character has their own crazy backstory, and about half of them tie somehow into the villain's world domination plot (which, for the record, is to use the tournament to identify the world's strongest fighters so he can brainwash them into being his soldiers and use them to subjugate the world's great powers, because that's so much saner and more effective a villain plan than holding nations hostage with stolen nukes or whatever, but then again maybe that calculus is different in a universe where training hard enough lets you throw fireballs). Chun Li, for example, is actually an undercover cop infiltrating the tournament seeking revenge for her detective father, who died trying to expose Bison's plots.

He was a big part of the brony community back in the day, with several songs with millions of views, being part of community projects like Brony React, at least 3 Michael Jackson covers and the animation Twilightlicious, which he got the official VA of Twilight Sparkle to voice through some legal loopholes and was a huge hit.
