In my mind this song works on so many levels. All the comedic elements along with the fact that it's just celebrating the excitement of owning your first car no matter how shitty it is. It revels in how ridiculous it is and that makes it great.

I sent the song to my girlfriend immediately after hearing it for the first time. She’s a bit “too” happy and proud of her old, kinda shitty, hand me down Citroén C1, and needles to say she felt very called out😂

You're one of the only people to react to this song who actually noticed and appreciated the visual gag at "I own a car, woman". My favorite joke of the whole song, and most reactions I've watched don't even blink at that one. Probably overshadowed by the following joke about cupholders. Anyways, SO funny. Another underappreciated one is the frame immediately following "who needs a license when you've got a car, (HEY!)" because it's Danny's face split diagonally, but the diagonal slices don't match up. Very clever and silly, Shoocharu.

While "Homophone" is a synonym of "Homonym", "Bass" and "Bass" are technically Homographs!

well... excuse my likely pedantry, but rreeaallyy "homophone" is a *hyponym* of "homonym". As in, it's included within and more specific than "homonym", which can mean homophone, homograph or both at the same time!

I'm fine with people explaining jokes. As someone on the autism spectrum that took a long time before I could understand most jokes, when I heard, "Explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand it better but the frog dies in the process," I understood it by thinking, "Okay, so I just need to kill a ton of jokes to understand comedy. Simple." I have no regrets!

4:32-4:50 This right here perfectly perfectly describes one of the biggest reasons why I cannot listen to any modern music if it doesn't have a comedic slant to it. I'm gonna sound like an Old Man Yelling At Clouds here, but the list of song concepts for most modern pop music is so limited. But with comedy, you can write a song about literally anything, and as long as enough people find it funny, it works Edit: Yes, I'm gonna be that guy. Bass (like the audio function) and Bass (the fish) are heteronyms, not homophones :)

Oh what a fun shirt you have there! I feel like only smart, confident and sexy people own those, but that might just be a hunch... maybe only people who actually bought tickets to the unplugged show...? I mean, I would have no idea about such a thing AT ALL, but it's still a very neat shirt, maybe the best NSP shirt actually! Maybe... Great video too, I really enjoyed the new song and your reaction are always something to look forward too when smth like this releases. Keep it up! :)

I just want to take a moment to give some credit to NSP's producer, Jim Roach, for the improved sound as well. I know TWRP are the featured band that plays much of the instrumentation, but Jim Roach has been the producer, co-writer on many tracks, and an instrumentalist for NSP since Cool Patrol, which is when they really started to expand their sound into these pastiches that you mentioned. Also, speaking from the future, I've noticed that there is not as much TWRP in the latest album (I base this only on the credits on my the videos, since Galaxy Hamster didn't have any members from TWRP and Dance 'Til You Stop only features Commander Meouch on bass, which was critical for the funky sound) and if you look at the credits for the music videos, you'll see Jim Roach's name on guitar, bass, and even drums, so that's why I wanted to shout him out for his contributions. He is like the third member of NSP at this point, further demonstrated by how their live acoustic album was performed by Danny, Brian and Jim on guitar.

A masterful thing Shoocharu did with the visuals is everything be extremely pop, saturated, colourful (especially Ninja Brian and Danny who go as far as having unnatural skin tones) and smooth, but the car itself is utterly grey and detailed in the grime and scuff marks. It's just too boring and grounded to be altered by Danny's fantasy. Thankfully it's got nothing on his innocence :')

"Homophones" is the exact opposite of what you wanted to say - words that are spelled differently, but similarly-sounding (lit. translation from Greek "same sound"). What you wanted is "homographs" - same written down form, different sounds.

I feel like one of the levels of jokes you didn't totally dive into is just how shitty the car is, insofar as... well, you touched on how one expects someone describing a make and model and all the features a car has- but the joke is that Danny is describing the bare minimum, because his car /has/ no exciting features. its a crappy junker entry level vehicle, but he's still so psyched to have it he has to brag about something- so he's bragging about the bare minimum a car should have. That being said, this is my first video of yours I've watched, but i definitely enjoyed it a lot!
