Wow ! What a difference!! Very good that you show the difference live, on the same scenery! This video is for me a aha moment ! Now I understand why I did not see a big difference between my shots using the wide angle compared to my medium focal lens .... I was not closed enough to the foreground! Thank for this great video.

Wow! I was blown away by just how different those two photos were. One was epic and the other... what I would have taken every time (or at least tried to). The yellow flower image... how beautiful. Feel blessed seeing that blue dot beside your name. So happy you take the trouble to share.

I’ve just revisited this video Will as I have just unboxed my first wide angle lens, down to 14mm now, love that I can get advice before I get out there with it, I did remember most from my original viewing but I had forgotten about not going too close 😅 thanks for creating such helpful videos 🙏😊

Great advice for sure, and sometimes I've got too carried away going too low and lost the midground. Thanks Will
@WilliamPatinoPhotography Жыл бұрын
There’s definitely a sweet point. When you’re going low just make sure to stop and ask yourself if you can still see the mid ground, or is the foreground cutting it off. Especially on rivers and creeks, we want to see the water line descending into the distance.

Awaesome learning contained in this video. I have only recently acquired a true wide angle and it is off putting how close you can get to the foreground element. Great video as always. Thanks, William.

Brilliant! thank you, can we do Panos the same way?
@WilliamPatinoPhotography Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes, you can, but on a pano you don't want to be too close to the foreground or wide, otherwise it will warp quite a lot.
@tommykeenan4930 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Will, a fantastic tip that I look forward to experimenting with, my widest lens is from my 24-105mm but I know after watching this I definitely haven’t got close enough to the foreground in the past 😅😊🙏
@WilliamPatinoPhotography Жыл бұрын
Thank you Tommy. Yeah 24mm is still quite tight and it will be hard to get too close but certainly worth experimenting and trying to create that depth.

Interested of what wide angle lens did you use William. I'm a Sony shooter.
