Amazingly compact, never would have believed there were 4 mirrors

Another splendid video about a fascinating item. I’ve never seen a travelling mirror of this type before. Beautifully made and no doubt very tactile. I think the high level of craft work involved is what makes such items (like the mahogany and brass folding travel chess sets) so attractive. Thank you once again for a most informative presentation. I do have a WW1 (or possibly WW2) travel or field mirror made of polished stainless steel with a cutout at the top so it can be hung on a wall or tent post. It is housed in a neat brown leather slipcase which has preserved the polished surfaces pretty well for a vintage piece. I had good use out of it when I was an Army officer in the 1980s. Now it rests in a bedroom chest of drawers with my old stable belt, my side cap, a very well broken-in and shaped beret and a few other old military bits and bobs.

Many thanks for your kind words. I know the type of mirror you have. Like the best designs, simple but effective.
