This innovation is undoubtedly the way forward for all societies to obtain access to energy without unsustainable impact on the Ecology. When it becomes commercially viable in scale, it should be made free or extremely low cost. Thank you and your teams Dr. Nocera - Brilliant

First of all excellent work! Say you achieve 16% efficiency, so around 16x more efficiënt than a leaf, then you would still need a huge surface area to be as efficiënt as a tree right? And how much could it potentially generate compared with the great competitors. For sunlight we have a solar panel, for wind energy we have wind turbines, how do you envision this as a consumer product? Will it be like a solar panel covered in water on a roof of a house?

When will it be available for home use? I want one - several perhaps.

4 years following Nocera and despite of all research, news headlines, etc it won't make it. Professor Nocera is a professor, not a business man, not Elon Musk. So don't expect this to happen anytime soon. Perhaps a competitor will do it, but as the current state, Nocera will never ever pull this off. He started this research at age 24... do the math, Maybe Tesla could combine engineered bacteria in a special solar panel to produce some form of alcohol...

If this thing has real potential, why does not a visionary business man take the idea and start to spread it? We ordinary people, those of us with no scientific expertise in the field and no money or competence to make business out of it, what can we do to favor the process?
